its a good question...not ignorant at all. i use a protech 701 with adjustable current. u can put a voltmeter on it and put it to 7.2v. if u keep your 702 on 6 cell should be just fine

wired a remote receiver control switch to a Traxxas EZ Start control box Resized_20201020_155549.jpeg I have a vintage conversion kit comin from ebay that supposdely allows any vintage O.S. .12-.18 engine to accept the EZStart...but its not here yet Now i can start the engine and light the glow plug...

converted the vintage O.S. CZ-2 to marine duty....wasnt easy either. bought a .18 OS water cooled head but the button was about 3 mm too big to go onto the sleeve. i dont have a lathe or anything so i used a drill press to turn it down to fit. real tight compression! electric starter comin soon...wa...
