Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6
Thanks guys I did get a Reedy motor/ESC during Black friday. Saved a little on the two. Fitting both in the chassis was fairly tight. I moved the servo forward and to the right to gain a little more clearance. The sensor wire that came with motor is too long so I have a 150mm on its way. Got some so...

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6
So after a quick bench test to check esc, steering and motor functions it was obvious that the rear wheel/tires were way out of balance. I did not have a wheel balancer nor did I want to spend $30 to order one and wait. More fun to build one anyways. I did find some black plastic spacers from a TV m...

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6
Hi Doug
I have used poster tack or it's called sticky tack.
For the black wheels I think I might try black butyl putty.
The non-hardening black putty is used in automobiles for all sorts of things.

Re: The Presto Resto
Minor but significant update. Anyone who knows these old chain drive Kyosho buggies will know how hard parts can be to find, in particular the front bumpers. I've been trying to find one for a long time with no luck so I started thinking about making one. I happened to have piece of 1.5mm alloy shee...

Re: Turbo Ultima rebuild
That really looks the goods man, if I'm not mistaken, only these and the Turbo Optima Mid SE have those platinum shocks?

Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced
I am new to this forum, yet wanted to share my most recent RC10 build. I plan to race this buggy in a vintage 2wd class (if it doesn't qualify because of some of the mod's I'll just use it for fun/practice). I have a few nice RC10's that I don't run, yet wanted something that I could use and not wor...

Re: The Presto Resto
Nice job on the bumper. Bumpers for some old Kyosho cars were almost impossible to find, especially the Optima, back in the day. You could never find one that wasn't beat up to hell, or priced affordably, so as they say: "Necessity is the mother of invention", and I made my own, too. I thi...

Re: Brimod Prototype Car
Yes, it is certainly something a little special. I have never seen anything quite like it before. The small details on it are quite amazing. I have added these last few pictures on the RC10talk Fb page, so i will add them here too. I have stripped and rebuilt the entire car now, and am currently jus...
