Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

I looked for hobby shops in my area that carry Tamiya spray, there are none under an hours drive away, I have to have it delivered. Makes me want to get an airbrush, but Tamiya colors are hard to beat. The TS-13 got here too late to spray this evening, but tomorrow should be a productive day, might ...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Your Grand Hauler with the tank is incredible! You need a thread for it here in the Tamiya section, would like to know if it has sound, lights, and how much is controlled from the Tx, and also where did the custom KW decals and the grill come from? Video of it cruising would pretty much get me to se...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

The MST TCR-M is about the narrowest 1/10 touring car I know of at 164mm (optionally 173mm) but, even with their optional 245mm chassis plate it comes up about a half inch short of the Apex2's 259mm wheelbase... which looks like it lines up with the wheelbase of the body, yeah? Other options exist, ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I read on Facebook that the new outdrives and stealth case are not necessarily compatible with the old stuff  I swear the people at AE just suck at remembering how things were done. Anyway the new stealth case is narrower between the bearings by enough that with an old diff you can't close the...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Brand new TS-13 can, held the button down and didn't let up until the can was empty. No drips or runs somehow. https://i.imgur.com/R5jKw28.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BYlu6iU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AWrF4NW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ZRoJxKI.jpg Will wait a week, for the Clear to fully cure, and then polis...

Re: RC10DS - Kit and Build review.

Got the RPM ballcups on. I had to cut down the camber link ballcups a little bit and the inner front camber link location requires you to trim and file the cup side a bit to clear the nose tubes without rubbing. Re: Beetle Mania (Sand Scorcher/DT-02 and Blitzer Beetle)

Hello Doug,
A beautiful conversion. I am also in the process of mounting a Sand Scorcher body on a DT-02 chassis.
Can you share please your 3d files of printed arms with me?

Thx Dimitri

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build

Mounted the front body posts in the holes in the front bumper, as specified in the manual. Want to be able to run the stock body too. Drilled the front posts in the Bandit body, the foam wheels clear without any well trimming so far. A-EHAIiem8A https://i.imgur.com/yRkbb9F.jpg Going to try magnets i...

Re: Part #: 6579 (Associated Diff Drive Rings) : This item has been discontinued

They made the new case (the new version of the 6565 and uses the old 6565 number) narrower between the bearings so you can't close the case if you try to install a vintage diff. You have to use the modern diff outdrives along with the case  To quote my old instructor at Ford, they could mess up...

Special delivery from Japan, couldn't believe how fast this got here, the day after Labor Day even. https://i.imgur.com/hwAhSwt.jpg Came with a sweet note that looks to be handwritten, and a miniature origami. https://i.imgur.com/RFzUlPN.jpg I have bought vintage Boss guitar pedals from Japan in the...
