Re: snap ring pliers
I've tried a clip removal tool but could not get the right size. So instead i use the following simple tools and process: 1) clamp gear in vise (careful not to over tighten) 2) use the point of a awl or a suitably sized nail to secure one side of clip 3) use small screw driver to flex clip out of gr...

Re: snap ring pliers
Just found that Wiha makes some with a .035 tip. That's the size of the tiny Allen for the 6 gear idler screws. I think this is the one.

Re: snap ring pliers
so i had an odd solution work.
banged on the bearing from the backside to where it deformed it slightly but pushed it forward and pressured the ring
then with an eye glass screwdriver, slide in the lowered part(middle area) of the bearing and twisted. It shot out faster than i could see

Re: Associated's RC10 Classic
I like the "Made in USA" printed on the Pro-Line tires, as I'm sure will most folks who are in the States.

Re: Microwave Dyeing Nylon Parts
Neat idea. Yeah I've had success (for awkward frp chassis/towers) putting a thin dye bath in a pyrex baking dish and putting it in the regular oven at about 175 (under the boiling point). The wife was out shopping that day.

Finally got my re re right....I hope
First ever build....The couple I did with my uncle back in the 80's don't count. I might've contributed 2-3% n got on the brothers nerves on top of it. Man, definitively was fun but caused a lil despair along the way. I built after a couple nights, tightened up the last couple screws ....n notice a ...
