Re: Brushed motor rehab

While waiting for the paint to dry, I decided to rehab the brushes as well. I was just going to put new ones on but these were in good condition and it goes with the thread. I crimped and soldered new terminals on. These are #4 hole, 18-22 gauge, from ebay. Screenshot_20220416-144336_Gallery.jpg I t...

Re: Brushed motor rehab

Got it back together. Whoever was in this motor before, had the armature endplay way too tight. I adjusted the endplay and centered the armature in the magnetic field. I reassembled it with new Trinity springs and the old brushes. I checked rotation before installing the decal, so that everything wo...

Re: Cerakote Questions

cerakoting has been kinda popular in the 2A realm for a little while now. A guy who built some of my rifles checked into it and started off with a 'starter' kit...which snowballed into some major $$ for him with inconsistant results. In the end he now sends most of his stuff out to get done. He foun...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - November 2022 ** - Winner - Kedal

RC10 E-GT conversion. Picked up a cheap slider and mostly used stuff that was laying around to finish it. Ed (Frankentruck) hooked me up with a 3D battery tray and chassis plug. Truck is fairly basic, with a Dynotech motor plate. I used some ECX shocks (AE springs) that were removed from my Torment....

Re: Stealth Trans w/Gear Diff

Did this project get any further? The idea of having a geared diff in something that still resembles or looks like the Stealth box is so appealing. I'd buy a couple for sure.

4.3mm ball studs source

Just a heads up, I'm sure we all have older RPM and Lunsford ball cups rattling around somewhere. For 4.3mm ball studs there are the 3racing brand ones, some HPI ones, but with Lunsford shuttering ops....anyway I stumbled across some 4.3mm with M3 threads in Ti by "reveD". I think they are...

Re: 4.3mm ball studs source

Custom Works, Schumacher, ECX, and CRC.

Those are all 4.3mm balls but Schumacher is the only M3 thread. The others are 4-40.
