Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Ah, now I see it -- thanks.
A design flaw, perhaps.
Anyway, I have merged the inner half of the pipe joints with the Manx roll bar and uploaded the stl file to the Beach Buggy Body Set on the Google drive. :D

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

https://i.imgur.com/xE2tPGw.jpg https://i.imgur.com/m3GnYqC.jpg Suspension works like this, lots of friction, but the pivots move in those caps like the metal parts do. Everything fit together easily, due to the accuracy of the model. Broke the passenger side upper front arm, printing a new one now...

When I was working on it today I asked myself the same question...it was so long ago I don't really remember doing any of it or how it was done...I do remember they are from a Tamiya...I am gonna go back thru the thread and try to find it

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Glad I didn't follow that QIDI factory video blindly. I'm not replacing my entire Chamber Heater as shown in their Factory video, just the SSR, so I only needed to remove the back cover and not pull the entire top and bottom off - as the factory video would seem to suggest. Made an addendum to the f...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines

I'm happy to report that my very first print was a success.

The transmission housing required only 1 hour and 10 minutes to print and the P1S wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be. :D

Dadio wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 3:06 pm How are you doing the rear shock tower with the trailing arms ?
They tilt back slightly...it's real smooth action in that location....or it was, we'll see with new shocks how it works...did I answer question properly?

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

I printed the Tamiya Sand Scorcher driver figure, from a CAD model I purchased a while ago. I printed the face in three different orientations. The faces shown are in the orientation that they were printed in. Notice the color, or reflectivity is exactly the same between all three. https://i.imgur.c...

Re: The "Hotmess" Hornet

I washed down a manta ray back in the early 90s with motor cleaner and it literally fell apart under its own weight as I was getting a battery charged for it 🤣 oops

My daughter want a phone case (she tends to abuse of them :-) ) https://i.imgur.com/RZWoRxt.jpeg It's good time to start a first TPU test, with a 95A shore TPU. It's from Sunlu. It is the typical TPU you would find almost everywhere. I can print it on the X1C from the external spool holder with the ...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

Print was almost flawless... I'm saying almost as the slicer is possibly a little bit optimistic on the bridge length as the volume button opening had some defects... It doesn't generate any supports there, I guess I should have paint them. https://i.imgur.com/eMgOzg5.jpeg That said, the result is g...
