Re: New toy in the shop
Got some time today to paint the Predator 3D print that I finished printing last night. Took 7 days of printing and about 6 hours of paint work but it's gonna look great in the theater room. https://i.imgur.com/JKKyy0n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lxT1gdN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lXNfGgJ.jpg https://i.img...

Like real cars, working on and modifying them is half the fun. I wouldn't be interested in the hobby if someone else did all the work and I only held the transmitter.

Digital infrared tach showed up yesterday. Motors and misc. parts I've been collecting over the past couple months. Have a few more motors on the way.

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors
It just occurred to me that a side bonus of this setup is you can set the voltage real low and use it to break in new motor brushes until they're seated properly.

Over the past weekend I worked on the steering.. I have 3 of these Hot Trick steering assemblies for the 2 vehicles I am restoring. I disassembled everything, did an assembly line cleaning, rejected bent/damaged parts, and upgraded it with vintage Thorp and Dubro turnbuckles. https://i.postimg.cc/nL...

Re: Marui Hunter "enhanced" re-created with 3D printing
Thanks for tips! I have printed gears from CF/PETG to my Ultima ST GP project. I would love to print them from CF Nylon, but i´ve had so many problems with Nylon printing that i kind of forgot it. SLS printing service is also a solution, but i will start with FDM and 48DP gears. 48DP is easy to prin...
