Re: Might be the coolest vintage video ever!

This video is super cool, I’ve watched it several times also. I have a Hilux and watching the video makes me want even more. With all the emphasis on STEM education I wish Tamiya or Traxxas would start advertising on the kids channels. Get a new generation enthusiastic about R/C http://i247.photobuc...

Re: I need help on my Losi JRX2

Andy has been painting up JRX2 bodies and I was lucky enough score a couple. I trimmed this one up to fit the flea market chassis. It was tricky to cut a painted body. I used the stock body as an over lay to mark the trim lines. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/Losi%20JRX2/5B478902-C...

Re: RC10 Truck Value hierarchy

IMO the T3 great value to performance you get. They can be bought cheaply. They are a durable truck and the parts can be found off of ebay inexpensively.

Re: Pikeys camped in the village !

I feel your pain. The homeless in my neighborhood are a huge problem. Cops run them out of other neighborhoods and they settle into ours. They leave garbage and steal things not bolted down. My girl caught one trying to squat in the Airbnb nextdoor Politicians and police do nothing lest they get bra...

Re: 1:8 Kyosho 4246 Williams Renault FW14 EP

That is a really cool piece of machinery. I like that front Shock setup. With a single modern brushless motor that car would really fly.

Re: Complete NEWB needs help with old Team Car!

You’ve got the makings of a killer runner. It’s got a stealth which is more durable than the 6 gear transmission. I’d pop out the old radio and esc for a new 2.4 ghz radio and go with a mild brushless motor system. This will allow you to use 2s lipos without burning up the old electronics with the i...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2020 ** - Winner - dinglem

Not lookn good for me, basher67 or scr8p :( Not sure if its worth these 18hr days and my life savings restoring these old cars for 1 vote    Don’t get discouraged. People’s tastes here are fickle. I’ve entered what I thought were really nice cars only to get just a few votes. I guess...

Re: Rc10 Fusion speed tub build

I used the chassis for my MIP 4WD Buggy. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/RC10%20MIP%20SP-2/BFB46298-571A-4096-8854-0C58E94C6848_zpshg2ut2kh.jpg http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/RC10%20MIP%20SP-2/4863D754-8FA0-46B2-BADE-C884BE291B21_zpsmtcwuf4s.jpg http://i247.photobu...

Re: Dull photobucket pictures.

I think you have to pay money for them to host otherwise they look blurry. About a year ago I signed up for a $2.99 a month account and other than a recent hiccup they’ve been fine http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/Porsche%20911%20C4/FCDE3FAB-9757-4387-8A86-755B24306E47_zpsaz67h0ec.jpg

Re: Shodog's Ascot Sprinter

Getting all my parts organized for my Ascot sprint car overhaul. I’ve been saving up parts over the last few years. A vintage JG chassis. Dhawk aluminum parts to replace most of the plastic. I plan to take all the thorp 48 pitch gears, jammin jay diff tube and aluminum bearing carriers from another ...

Re: Shodog's Ascot Sprinter

Hard to say what the longevity of that composite motor plate would be. I imagine if it got real bad you could run a slightly longer screw with a small thin 4/40 nut like the ones used on the steering balls. But as incredible has said, it’s strong enough for the shelf 😁
