Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica COMPLETED!!!!!!
There is a member here that owns an original. He can attest to the kickup rate if he chooses, and you are aware you are measuring off of a drawing...right? Also, I'm very familiar with thd composite producers in this country, and no...kickup panels are not available anywhere, nor are any other vers...

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica COMPLETED!!!!!!
do you guys ever plan on making a runner of one these buggies? would be interesting to see how they compare to their modern counterparts. I plan to make one shelf queen and another as a runner. For the runner I may use some more modern parts (shocks) since the ones from the early 90's are hard to c...

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica COMPLETED!!!!!!
25 and 30 degree molds are available from multiple shops but 20 degrees is not. Fred and I are in the process of having a 20 degree mold fabricated for our chassis. We both thought it was initially 25 degrees but after extensive photo analysis we determined it was in fact 20 degrees. The main benefi...

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
If they released a kit after 23-yrs it would be bittersweet. On one hand I be the first in line to buy it and on the other a little pissed considering the work I've put into creating a replica. It's certainly been an exciting couple of days!

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
I ordered Niki's parts and once I receive them I'll line them up over my scaled chassis diagram. It's very important to make sure that the front bulkhead mates properly with the top deck and that the bell crank doesn't interfere with the top deck. There's practically no margin of error in those loca...

Re: 91 Masami Stealth replica
After comparing the dimensions of Niki's '91 parts to my scaled diagrams that Fred has been using to build the 3D models they look to be identical within a fraction of a mm. We are just about ready to have the chassis cut so the reality of a '91 Stealth replica is not far off!

Re: '91 WC Stealth vs B4
I have my CAD file of the main chassis 99% done; just some final tweaks and it will be ready to go (hopefully tomorrow). Then on to creating a mold for the chassis ![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

Re: RPM CE runner
the worlds arms should have two shock mount holes, and also have a wider inner arm mount due to the truck bulkhead: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=30765&hilit=rpm+worlds+arms&start=15 but yes, I can relate to the confusion, it took a while to get it all straight for me. Go...

Re: RPM CE runner
those are the team arms, essentially the same length as the stock 'wide' arms or andy's arms. hella hard to find NIP and white, that's for sure. Hmmm...they look identical to my World's Arms. My World's arms are definitely longer than the stock "wide" arms. I examined last night when I wa...

Re: RPM CE runner
Picked up the hard to find front white RPM team arms. Added the lower shock retainers, RPM front steering arms, delrin rear shock pivots, and new old stock front arm mounts. http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr19/mustang--90/AE2AC02E-7106-4560-9D9B-6FBBD8C9252F_zpsta0xn67q.jpg http://i465....

My Old School B5 Paint Job
Just getting ready to take my new B5 to the track and thought I better get some photos before the pounding starts 8) I used vinyl mask for the silver stripes and the kit supplied window masks. Considering I haven't picked up my airbrush in over 20-years I was pretty happy with how things turned out....

Masking curved pin striping lines
So I have done some reading on tape vs. liquid masking and am trying to figure out the best method for my needs. I'm not planning to do any crazy designs, rather I just want to be able to curve my pin striping lines slightly. It seems that trying to curve various forms of tape never works out well. ...

Re: '91 WC Stealth vs B4
those profiled standoffs are something easily made in a lathe from regular round rod. I can't recall the dimension of a composite craft worlds buggy standoff, but I suspect it's not a 'standard' length so they would have to be custom trimmed anyway. if you guys get to the point where the standoffs ...
