Re: DarthRacer's RC10s - Runner, Shelfer, ...??
That sounds like what I want to do. Sell / trade the third car for a stealth car and run modern electronics / tires / wheels.

Re: DarthRacer's RC10s - Runner, Shelfer, ...??
I knew there isn't much money here, but the blue car has some personal value to me because of where and how I got it, and I know a lot about who owned it and where it was purchased. I think that car should remain original but I can't decide if I should to a teardown and clean it, or leave as is. I p...

The second black car started out like this.

Using the best parts from this roller and batch of parts.

Re: DarthRacer's RC10s - Runner, Shelfer, ...??
First up is the blue Edinger car. I am looking for help in determining just where it lies in the kit release history. https://goo.gl/MwG6On https://goo.gl/c9rwDR https://goo.gl/8nOQ9V All of the chassis parts are original, but the tires are not. I'm assuming the originals were worn out since this ca...

DarthRacer's RC10s - Runner, Shelfer, ...??
Hey all. I figured it is time to get a project thread going for my RC10s. I just got into vintage collecting about a year ago. I always wanted to own a gold pan car and found an opportunity on rctech at the end of last year to trade a TC4 for a RC10 roller and parts. I wasn't really sure what I was ...

Re: What do you use to initially clean up plastics
I did an initial overnight soak and cleaning then an overnight soak in an oxy clean solution. Seemed to work well. . I need to get a picture of the results.

Re: Which is your go-to forum for modern day RCs?
rctech is probably the best for modern cars and racing kits in general. Otherwise you will end up on specialist sites like this cool one we are on now.

Re: How the past always comes back to haunt you
I don't understand how any parent just tosses out their children's belongings when they move out. I wouldn't have the heart to do something like that. I'll hold onto it until they come back for it.

That is the type of kit that put the word 'model' in R/C model cars. I wouldn't mind putting in the time to build one.

Re: Help me identify this Yokomo can motor
I'm just surprised it has no other markings. At least it's a usable vintage motor.

Re: Help me identify this Yokomo can motor
Thanks. The pics looked a lot clearer on my phone.
The shaft end has stamped 'Yokomo' and 'SWS'. No other markings that I can find. If it was rebuild-able I would have had it apart to check it.

Help me identify this Yokomo can motor
During the course of my RC10 rebuilds, I pulled this motor from the 'runner' car I traded for. I don't recognize the company / brand but I do see that it is a Yokomo based motor. Can anyone tell me about it? I'd like to see if I can get the specs for it and any interesting history there may be. Than...

Kinda crazy that it looks like nothing else broke, just a bent chassis.

Re: Interesting brushless thought?
If you swap A and C the motor will run backwards. It works OK with sensorless but I haven't tried it with a sensored setup.
