Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
I am going to post a list of parts I am needing here. Because these parts are just so hard to find, I would welcome any help locating some of them. I do check eBay often, but I never would have found those rear swing shafts without help (Thank you Lars). I will try to keep this updated as much as po...

Re: Kyosho/COX Tomahawk R built for US VONats 2013
WOW! This thread is just amazing. Great pics and video here. The Tomahawk turned out absolutely gorgeous. I hope with some time and a lot of patience, mine turns out half as nice. I love the anodized parts on it, that turned out great. You done a lot of customizing to that buggy. This has been an ex...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Thanks Hcp, I actually read through most of that through a Google search (That is what brought me here)! :D Excellent info there! Do any of you have an idea on how to clean up the steering servo plate? Mine has a few deep gashes I would like to get out. I think it's carbon fiber and sanding would ge...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
I jumped on those dog bones, thanks for that link...I would have NEVER found those and my first international purchase, LoL. I will get the screw set soon also. I'm pretty sure I have all the screws, but some are stripped out and you're right, those stainless steel screws will look sweet with polish...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Anyone know if these would fit the Tomahawk? http://valkyriercmotorsports.com/product/vint_rc_parts_mfg_kyosho_other_models_sus_used/UM-RA-U.html No they won't fit, 10mm to long! You need this: http://www.ebay.de/itm/4966-17-Graupner-Kyosho-Scorpion-Antriebswellen-NEU-/321340469317?pt=RC_Modellbau&...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Not having these parts to start with is making it very difficult to get replacements. The manual is not much help either. I really need a list of what other models wheels & shocks would be fitting since it is virtually impossible to locate the original SC-XX parts anywhere :( I have no idea abou...

Re: Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Thank you all for the replies. I have wet sanded before and yes it is a process, but I agree...it will be well worth the outcome. I wasn't sure if I could do that to this buggy but now that I know, time to get them elbows workin' :D I have thought about the price of the screw set and considering a l...

Cox/Kyosho Circuit 1000 Buggy
Here is the buggy I've had for well over 20 years. Looking through some online manuals, I (think) it is a Tomahawk, but I could be mistaken. You can see in some of the pics that the previous owner assembled it incorrectly. I am in the process of a restoration currently. I'm not really sure how to po...

Re: Hello from Michigan
Thank you all for the warm welcome. Yeah, I can already see this will become costly....if you can even find the parts, LoL. This will (no doubt) be a shelf queen. I ran a Kyosho Raider back in the mid 90's (A hand me down) and the LHS usually carried 3 yo and newer parts and so I had to order parts ...

Hello from Michigan
Hello everyone, I actually found this forum googling things like Scorpion & Tomahawk. I recently dug out my old RC car (I never knew what it was) I just kept it because I thought it looked awesome being mostly aluminum. I have had this car for over 20 years and never had a clue (until recently) ...

Did you ever anodize this Scorpion? Curious to see how it turned out. It looked magnificent before. How did you get it to shine so good?

Re: Cleaned Scorpion
Hey Guys, new to the forums. What a beautiful car! I am in the process of a Tomahawk restoration (God help me) and this forum always came up in my Google searches. Now I see why, there are some great looking restorations here! Sorry to resurrect an old post, but I had to comment on those sweet looki...
