Re: Ultima Pro (3117) Battery Strap

This is pretty strange. If you look at this manual (same kit #) it is slightly different. I believe some of the kits varied from country to country. This must be one of those variations. I'm sure you will find a longer strap somewhere. I have the same issue with a Lazer ZX I am restoring. The chassi...

Re: Kyosho Optima Build

Very nice! You are doing (did) a wonderful job on this restoration. I am also planning on an Optima build soon. I have all my parts stored in a shoe box, but I think I finally have everything I need to finish it. I have a TBG body already cut for it but I am having someone else paint the boxart sche...

Re: Painting with sharpie pens

One of the problems I always have is doing the black trim around the windows. I had an idea of using vinyl to mask off the windows and then using a black Sharpie to go around the edges. Is this something that would work? I am no artist by far, so any help would be appreciated. I am working on an Ult...

Re: Kyosho Ultima II - Kit No. 3118 - Manual English v1.0 19

Thank you so much for this manual. The only other one I was able to find was a JPEG images, but the were small and came out blurry.
PDF is much better, thanks for taking the time to help others! ;)

Re: Kyosho Big Brute, Ultima XL and Turbo Raider - Back Into

Hello and welcome to the forums :) As a collector of these vintage buggies, I have to side with DePingus on this one. You have to remember, these buggies weren't meant to run at the speeds you will be getting from a modern electric system. As Coelacanth described, it is not impossible, but probably ...

Re: Powder Painting

I found someone that will anodize it for about $40 (+shipping).
Either way, it looks like it will cost me $60, but I think Ano would be best.
Always heard PCing is cheaper and this guy is right down the road. Probably as Jason said, minimum charge :(

Powder Coating

Hi guys, I am sure this HAS to have been discussed before, but I was thinking of restoring a gold pan using powder paint. Anyway, I got a quote from a local shop and they wanted $60 (plus cost of paints). That seems a little high to me. Could anyone give me some insight on this? For that price, I wo...

Re: My Vintage Kyosho Collection

Hi Kev and welcome to RC10 talk :D Very nice start for your collection. We have the same thing in common, always wanted a (real) RC as a child, but never got one. I just started collecting about a year ago myself. You will find lots of friendly collectors here with lots of knowledge. Are you more in...

Re: The V.K.R.I. (Vintage Kyosho Rebody Initiative)

Looks like you have some fun times ahead of you Mark! :D Personally, I like box art when restoring a vintage buggy. I plan on doing all mine that way. I went through all the trouble to locate original part to make it original again, so why not an "Original" paint job? Can't wait to s...

I have to agree on the ugly part, but you scored big for $20!
The rear wheels alone are worth double that. :)

ZR-1 Corvette

I posted a request in the scan section, but thought I would ask here as well. I am looking for a link or scan of the ZR-1 electric version. Not much came up on google, so I thought I would try here. Looks very similar to the Outlaw, so I might be able to go with that. I do have an Outlaw manual, but...

I couldn't even find a nitro version, but electric is what I am needing.
