Re: 3D printed CAT XLS bumper
I've only modelled the cars that I own. In this way I can measure the parts. I have not got an cat swb and so it would have to be from photo's and this would not benefit my collection. If you have got one that you could dimension up, then I can model it up for you. I'd love to run my xls again and w...

Re: 3D printed CAT XLS bumper
I finally have fitted the first off 3D printed part and it fits like a glove... http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t470/terminator_2/20141014_214053.jpg After the fitment, I noticed that I had got some of the dimensions wrong and so I got out my digital vernier and checked some dimensions. Next was...

Re: 3D printed CAT XLS bumper
It is white powder coloured afterwards, however I have been informed that the next version will be fully black. The material is ABS P430 and this is the first off prototype to check against the real part and to validate the 3D model. I have got a few dims incorrect but the next version should be nea...

3D printed CAT XLS bumper
I can't fully claim all the credit for this as it was printed by a company in Bristol for me, but it was my CAD model etc.... http://i1061.photobucket.com/albums/t470/terminator_2/20140930_214750.jpg The bumper on the left is the original. The repro bumper is on the right and needs some radii tweaks...

Re: Cougar - digital PKE version (yes, this is a bit nerdy)
Hi,
I've been doing the same! http://forum.racing-cars.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=12900&title=vintae-schumachers
What CAD system are you using?
I've modelled all my touring cars apart from the mi4cxl and the cat sx3.
Regards,
Nick.
