Re: Anybody here named walid?

Well I thought I would chime in as I bought a Re-re Worlds when they came out, which was also my first RC10.. I was one of the ones who had a bad top shaft.. The machining was off and made the slipper back plate rub on the motor mount.. I contacted AE and got a replacement at no charge.. Fixed the p...

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

Very nice work as usual for you stickboy007.. it's funny but rc's are like 1:1 cars in the modifying thing.. you can mod your car but will usually not get back what you put in but it you restore one you can more easily.. a labor of love to mod.. chassis looks great none the less..

Re: Gomachv's 4wd RC10 project- finished!

Hi Gomachv, What's the best way to purchase the nose plate and the front tower from you, don't have BST access ( no idea how to apply or activate, not the best at this) do have ebay and PayPal through the wifey, and she will let me use it if I do my chores and promise not to tap her on th...

You could make some out of the bottom of soda cans pretty easy
Oohhhh that sounds like a great idea.. Those would look great..

Re: My Tamiya Lunchbox Rat Rod/Trippy van.

I would say maybe some nice chrome or black wheels.. I know the "patina" look is popular with the older German car crowd and they run nice clean wheels.. At least paint the wheels instead of the stock yellow.. I have seen where the are guys who did the distressed look on wheels as well but...

Re: My new favorite B4 killer

Not digging the front wheels being wider. But, that's just me. I like my front tires like I like my women. Real thick and juicy. Black is ok as long as their grip is just right. If the track is loose I like for them to have nice big nipples to keep me from sliding off. Their nipples shoul...

You guys are twisted!!

I like the rat rod box you have.. it looks very interesting and different... maybe do something with the wheels to go with the body work..

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

What you say isn't too far off the mark in my book.. but after stickboy007's problem with the rear bulkhead I would think that an adjustable front would make the problem worse.. this would allow the front to be able to come out of adjustment on a hard landing as well.. maybe not back and forth but t...

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

My design theory is that the top deck and chassis should be flat. If the chassis is a plate, with no kick up, then it should be in a relaxed state, and flat. Ive been using either no tensioner, or a pully tensioner on all my 870c builds. It depends more on the belt and production tolerances for the...

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

With the whole rear being adjustable that is where I am thinking the top deck is shifting ever so slightly.. The 4 points are at the two points at the bulkhead cap and the 2 points at the motor mount I was speaking of.. If those parts slip the rear bulkhead could shift the top deck a little which wo...

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

The rear tower on the 93 W.C.S has the cutout for the turnbuckle, well actually it is the tower for the 94-up YZ-10's, and the Works 93 doesn't.. This allows the clearance for the system on it.. It is interesting to know this about the top deck shifting the tension though.. I bet it was a problem wi...

Re: Orangemazda's Tamiya Wild One

Well the driver head looks great.. I could never paint one that well so I usually leave them off.. I like the idea of the black wheels with tire lettering.. I'm going to do that to my Astute after I get a couple other Tamiya's done so I can just do them all at once.. aluminum wheels would look aweso...

Re: Orangemazda's Tamiya Wild One

I like it.. IMHO I'm not totally liking the gold wheels.. it doesn't seem to fit the rest of it.. it doesn't look bad, but it just doesn't fit just right.. I do like the "crazy eyes" of the driver though.. overall I like it with the black rollbar.. nice wild one..

Re: YZ10 Works Projects

Thanks stickboy007.. I'll keep that mod in mind if I come across some more hub carriers.. I have one lone one left (I got 3 in a parts lot) so I'll see what I can do with that one.. I do have one idea....... 8) By the way the 92 looks clean.. Not a huge fan of the water oozy thing but it w...
