Re: Two NIB 90's Oddballs

They do look awesome - the proportions are pretty spot on. I have read they handle pretty badly out of the box due to the inherently high CG and being underdamped in the rear end causing a lot of pogo action..

Re: Aussie's RC10GT Restoration

^ WOW that looks awesome! I absolutely love those Associated 3 piece wheels, always liked the look of them. Seems like under all that dust and fluff there was a pretty clean truck, sweet find. If I can find one for around the $100-$170 price bracket (depending on condition) I will probably snatch it...

Re: Aussie's RC10GT Restoration

I like the idea of a white parts GT. What sort of price bracket would I be looking at for a reasonable base unit? :)

Re: Aussie's RC10GT Restoration

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Progress: All electronics worked perfectly when I tested them, so it was just a matter of cleaning the nitro residue off everything, clean/check the mounting hardware and coil the leads. I mounted it all up, and presto, completed truck! http://s21.postimg.org/6qtt...

Progress: Got the transmission mounted, and the rear bulkhead cleaned up and installed: http://s16.postimg.org/8ibh8dhh1/20130819_130934.jpg Rear bulkhead in. Shock tower, arms, dogbones and hardware all cleaned up well, and there was no corrosion on the metal hardware. All hinge pins installed with...

Re: Aussie's RC10GT Restoration

GT is looking great! 8) Awesome gf/b-day gift. It'd say she's a keeper! I'd say so! Cheers mate! That'll be a nice stocker when it's done! I could never have one like that; the blue chassis trucks are just to easy to modify, and I cannot resist the temptation! Haha yea, i've thought of all the cool...

Re: Aussie's RC10GT Restoration

I was originally going to polish the pipe, but it really would have looked more 'blingy' than I'd like, especially on an otherwise completely stock vehicle, so I attempted to restore the original finish. I think I did a pretty good job: http://s17.postimg.org/fnkhjl7nz/20130819_145411.jpg Tuned Pipe...
