Re: Shodog's collection of Tamiya's

The photograph taken on the beach is beautiful. No wonder you chose that as an avatar. It almost looks like a real 1:1 sand rail. Makes me want to take some great scale shots when my project is finished.

Re: KYOSHO 'BURNS' ELECTRIC, NOW COMPLETE!

Very interesting project. I can see the appeal of turning to electric power for near silence and far less engine starting equipment to lug around. But I think it will be odd not to see smoke coming away from a Burns!

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995

Thanks to some members here for providing me with some inspiration. The following pictures capture the sort of colour pallet I am interested in - mostly black, with perhaps only one (maybe two) items in gold to give a reference to past times. This will either be the alloys only, or less likely the s...

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995

The arms were already fitted by the seller. It looks like a rather neat job from the pictures I have seen. I am glad they did it as I am not sure I'd have been brave enough to cut slots on a World's chassis. Mind you there is one tiny feint rub mark on the rear bumper section of the chassis. So I wi...

RC10 World's manual request

I did a search on here but didn't notice this manual. I have one on the way to me now. If anyone is interested I can offer to scan it all and post it up. I'm not sure how different it may be to a regaular RC10 manual. But the offer stands...

Re: Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats

I once tried to dye some wheels black. I used a recommended product yet it turned out terrible. The white wheels ened up patchy dark blue / black. I decided there and then I would never trust any sort of dye again. I am only glad the wheels in question were not rare or expensive! No way I'll be boil...

Re: Early TQ10 build (Chassis for now)

That chassis looks mint. I noticed a lovely TQ10 on Ebay right now by the way. Although I suspect your chassis is even tidier. The one I saw has a tiny feint scratch on it.

Re: Bob Stormer, glimpse

That is a staggering and totally overwhelming collection. I agree with the post above. Unless you employ a full time team of at least two people I cannot see that mountain ever being organised and sold in your lifetime. Would your family help out? It would be a shame for the collection to one day be...

Re: someone is excited....

Just to confirm my posts were in reply to one weeks worth of thread reading while I was waiting to be activated. It was kind of frustrating seeing all this eye candy and not being able to reply. I guess I am not used to seeing any (let alone many) trick RC10's! Besides if your members do not want my...

Re: someone is excited....

I suspect my car will be worth a lot less than I am planning on spending on it :D Besides it won't be for sale. It will be a show piece, a play thing for very careful use in the park with my little girl (ok me really), and a large slice of nostalgia all in one. Anyway I'll try and not post too much....

Re: someone is excited....

Haha, I make no apologies - I am very excited! Deal with it :D Nothing to do with your classifieds. I have bought enough already! So I may have to ban myself from looking in there. My ebay account is now full of RC10 bits and pieces on the way to me now! Yay! Cannot wait to get my Worlds, strip it d...

I'd love this with a stealth / Worlds colour scheme of mainly black. Beautiful engineering

Re: Discussion about possible aluminum transmission and part

This was another great tech thread. I was looking forward to the end seeing lots of cars running alloy transmission cases. Shame it did not pan out in the end. I wish you luck getting the project off the ground again.
