Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
Yeah, I prefer the uncluttered look of no wing. They are only useful as a roll over protrusion. So it is more honest and cleaner looking to just omit them, imho :) In fact I have also been toying with the idea of a removable half cage, possibly from welded steel rod, or something lighter. Of course ...

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
Apologies to Synergy for Photoshopping his Ultima. This just helps me visualise the colour schemes I am interested in: plain black body (or very dark gunmetal), maybe gold shocks, no wing (I personally feel they do nothing in rc scale, especially flexible lexan ones), and just the decision over whee...

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
I do love the design I bought. I think either style looks great. I guess it would be ideal to have two sets - one in each style ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
In that case, one more... I only have these snaps taken from my Ebay purchases. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8234/8560161665_58fb1187b3_z.jpg I really love these but I am not sure whether I prefer this style, or the straight spoke design some of you have. I'll have a think about that. If it turns o...

Re: Brian Kinwald RC10TALK memory present, last update!
I have only just recently joined and been allowed to enter BST today. There is such a decent community vibe going on in this great thread. As I am newly back into rc I do not have a lot of spares. But I wish I could help somehow. I guess my yellow World's wheel will be no good? I am chaging my wheel...

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
One last update for the day... I have ordered the last set of brand new three piece alloy wheels by LOHAS, in the Hurricane style. I am thinking of keeping the polished rims sections and rim bolts in silver (natural alloy) and having the wheel centres anodised either black or gold. Or just leave alo...

Re: Old school Yokomo and the newer kits....
The way I see it cars stopped advancing in major leaps many years ago. Back in the day (1980s) every off road car was of very different designs to each other. Then it became clear which designs worked better, so companies got closer and closer in design. It was even more obvious in 1/8th circles. Ev...

Re: Wheels? - I am so confused
To see what the wheels look like in black check out my recent "RC10 World's A&L" thread. They are fairly good looking and cheap so perfect for a runner. They seem to offer some flex so should take some punishment. Although personally I'd have preferred tham a little heavier and even mo...

Re: RC10 World's A&L - 1st project since 1995
The first items have started arriving... Some all round tyres for use on grass, asphalt or clay. The compound is suprisimgly compliant and sticky. These should give a nice scale appearance when worn in with a layer of dust. There are various other tyre options on the way too... http://farm9.staticfl...

Re: PB buggies. Post your pics.
Interesting body on yours. I had the original plus a Ford RS200 rally shell. It looked pretty cool in the scale shell. They are rare but I would say too obscure and niche to be of mass interest. Not many people used to run them or rated them highly back in the day. So these days there is not much de...

I have found someone who can make me as many alloy wheels as I like in any design I like. I can see some Technicraft copies coming up... ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Finally got a 12is in white
GRP always has a lovely vintage look to it. it reminds me of a lost era in RC. So I am glad they kept a tiny bit of GRP still on the RC10 World's. Not much, but just enough to remind me ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

I used to run an 1/8th PB Mustang Xi2 back in 1986. If you are interested in these older larger IC cars I can dig out the photo album and post back ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
