Re: Any rc10 forensic experts here?

update: set aside for other projects at the moment. And no, didn't dremel into the chassis, just enough of a notch in the the screw to be able to remove it with a flathead, I used extra caution, didn't want to damage the chassis

Re: Any rc10 forensic experts here?

I live in maine, and I'm assuming parts for the RPM conversion are hard to come by. And I've started teardown, just a little apprehensive, but this will be learning thing. never worked on a "pro" r/c car before.

Re: Any rc10 forensic experts here?

stripped screw had to dremel slot it to get it out. Major Bummer. tiny hex, totally stripped. As these parts are now non existent, I'm thinking this thing may just be done for. It's also lacking a couple bolts and servo mounts as the servo was taped to the chassis. A lot of rusted screws too. crud

Re: Any rc10 forensic experts here?

now that I know what it is, and that I DON'T want to try and wrench on it myself, would someone be willing to clean/tune up said car? Nothing appears to be broken, I would just like it in running order as a father's day gift to my father. (PMs welcome)

some n00b questions

This may have been answered, and frankly I'm too lazy to read through a zillion posts, but is there a reason Yokomo only did 4wd and did associated ever do 4wd until recently? And what was behind the co-sponsorship with Misami Hirosaka? Were AE and Yokomo connected somehow? I got into R/C in the ear...

Tony Hawk honed his chops at the infamous Del Mar. I had no idea it was connected to R/C's Team Losi. wow

Re: 6016 cadillac score

Build it box art and stock, take it to your next track day, plop it down on the track and go "ok dudes, who's ready to race!!" then take pics of the puzzled looks on other racers faces

Any rc10 forensic experts here?

What I have here is my dad's what I assume to be early 90's-ish rc10. I'm assuming it's an rc10, hence posting in this section. I don't know what's on it, I'm hoping you guys can help deduce what parts these are. The following is my 1st batch of pics, I can take detailed shots of anything that needs...
