Re: Ready to do some upgrades on my Cadillac

Now I need a little help with the final drive gearing. I picked up a brushless combo with a 9t 4300kv motor. What would a good starting point be? And what spares should I pick up to test with? The original stealth spur gear is 87t right? Would I go somewhere between 20t and 24t on the pinion? Am I s...

Re: Ready to do some upgrades on my Cadillac

As luck would have it, a vintage stealth came up for sale while i was researching the B4.1 stealth conversion. So it looks like I'll be going the easier route.

Re: Ready to do some upgrades on my Cadillac

I've decided I want to do the brushless conversion. But first I will tackle the transmission. I think to be safe I will upgrade to the stealth. However, I am still very confused on what I need for the conversion. It sounds like there are 3 versions of the stealth, maybe more? How do I know which one...

Ready to do some upgrades on my Cadillac

I have a Cadillac circa 1984 that I used to race back in the day while my dad raced an Optima Mid. We raced for a few years and collected some trophies and had a lot of fun. It was well used as can be seen in the pics. I finally got it running again and now it's time to decide what to do with it. To...

Re: Worked for a short time now only glitchy

I hooked up the receiver battery and no glitches. But no power either. So I got out my third battery pack and it worked fine. I guess it's a bad batter pack. Which is sad because it is brand new and recently charged. Although the pack is reading 7.4 volts. Could there be 1 bad cell and still give me...

Worked for a short time now only glitchy

I got my vintage rc10 back together and running again. So I took it to the local track today and after several laps I seemed to be losing power then all I got was glitches when pulling the throttle. Here's my setup. New Futaba 3PRKA 2,4ghz transmitter/receiver. New Speedgems Ruby motor. I think 19t....

Re: Wheels? - I am so confused

I ended up ordering the JC Racing wheels. For just under $20 it was cost effective and easy. It was a bit confusing to order online. There was nothing that stated it came as a set of 4. And there was not a picture illustrating the 4. And they listed out 2 separate part numbers. So initially I though...

Wheels? - I am so confused

I've been reading posts about wheel options for weeks and the more I read the more confused I get. I am looking to get my vintage RC10 back on the track as quick as possible with as little modification as possible so I can see where I stand before making a lot of modifications. I'm just looking to r...
