Re: Project RC10
@ FunkyStickman - Thanks! I used a combination of monster truck conversion mounts to fit the body. At the rear is a mount from Andy's and the front I believe is from JG.

Re: Project RC10
Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments! So I wanted to do something about narrowing the front because the front wheels stick out farther than the rears. I found some narrow old-skool front RC10T wheels/tires and they worked great! I suppose I could have used the short front arms instead...might cons...

Re: Project RC10
Thanks all! @ Mike DeLaney - The body is from the Monster Racer. A good reproduction can be found here and is MUCH cheaper than an original: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TBG-TOYOTA-PRERUNNER-HILUX-HI-LUX-MONSTER-BODY-/150625104288?pt=US_Radio_Control_Control_Line&hash=item2311f4b1a0 @ tagger - the ti...

Project RC10
Hi all! Thought I would post some pix of my latest project. I have been collecting Tamiya cars for a few years and decided to make the move to RC10s. I cleaned up/painted the chassis and added Gmade XD shocks/RC10T wheels. I really like the Tamiya Hilux Monster Racer so I will be painting a new body...

Cool! By the looks of things, your not a FNG! Sweet collection and thanks for sharing! Thanks! This is a great hobby and I've dealt some very cool folks! I think it is great that we can piece together a buggy with parts from all over the world. While fee-bay has its issues, it really makes stuff mo...

Before the "madness" took hold, I thought I would limit my projects to the amount of shelve space...glad to say that hasn't exactly worked out!Harrylarry wrote:Need bigger shelves that way looks like less there.

Re: New Guy
See what happens when you leave them alone. They breed and multiply. my wife usually walks in and looks at the shelf and just knows there is more since the last time she counted  HA! Same here! Most of the time I get home from work before her and can "intercept" most of the new addit...

I've been collecting Tamiyas for several years now and thought my collection would consist of them exclusively. Then a buddy of mine said he had an old r/c car he used to race back in '88. Of course I had to look into it! Turned out to be an RC10 in pretty good shape. I have since taken it apart and...
