Project RC10
Hi all! Thought I would post some pix of my latest project. I have been collecting Tamiya cars for a few years and decided to make the move to RC10s. I cleaned up/painted the chassis and added Gmade XD shocks/RC10T wheels. I really like the Tamiya Hilux Monster Racer so I will be painting a new body to replace the used one in the pix.

Re: Project RC10
It's the original Tamiya Hilux Monster Racer body. It was based in the same chassis as that King Cab.Mike DeLaney wrote:Cool truck! Who makes that truck body and is it still available?
Cheers,
Michael.

Great looking truck Viperchief. I like the black wheels and chunky rubber. What tyres are they?
Just a note, this probably belongs in the truck section.
KHS - I think it's Houge bellcranks.
Cheers,
Michael.

Re: Project RC10
Thanks all!
@ Mike DeLaney - The body is from the Monster Racer. A good reproduction can be found here and is MUCH cheaper than an original:

@ tagger - the tires are for the Traxxas Summit 1/16 truck. Probably should have put it in the truck section...I decided to put it here because it is technically still a buggy chassis. Ooops!
@ KHS - the RC10 gurus are in a better position to tell you who made the bellcranks...google search produced Team Losi as a possible manufacturer.

Re: Project RC10
I had a busy schedule last weekend, but caught this on a quick lurking tour I was able to make. I just wanted to comment on how cool it is. I love the black with red accents. Compliments the style of the vehicle very well.

Re: Project RC10
Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments! So I wanted to do something about narrowing the front because the front wheels stick out farther than the rears. I found some narrow old-skool front RC10T wheels/tires and they worked great! I suppose I could have used the short front arms instead...might consider that later. Here are some new pics-ready for paint!

Re: Project RC10
That looks wicked! Are those the standard RC10T body mounts?
Old-school... and proud of it.

I think a good camo job would be bad ass on that particular truck.

Re: Project RC10
@ FunkyStickman - Thanks! I used a combination of monster truck conversion mounts to fit the body. At the rear is a mount from Andy's and the front I believe is from JG.

Re: Project RC10
That's a cool looking truck. It just needs some water/mud-proof electronics and you're good to go.
