Re: Wasp gearbox for Cougar?
Can't confirm, but fairly certain it is wasp. Also it looks waspish! Whisper gearbox or something? Saw it once before a few years back - a true gem!

Re: CAT XL new build from parts
This is awesome! When I built my first Cat winter 86/87 I didn't think of the range of possibilities the suspension gave. Getting the Cats on the tracks summer season 1987 we discovered it all, amongst it mixing the A and B arms. That season we also got the new suspension bracket giving us the idea ...

Hello to you, and thank you for your interesting story taking you here! I think a few of the guys round here are interested to see what was in that old storage space....
Get ready for the pm's. Some of us get a bit lost over these things.

Re: CAT XL new build from parts
Fantastic to see this build Alan. And as already stated a very good collection of hard to find parts. I know this will be the best documentation of a XL build to date. A true tribute to the small important details. The front pulley has got a solid axle with one way clutches inside each of the front ...

Re: PB Mini mustang with tricks
Oh well, then maybe we will meet up! Ultima and Scorpion sounds nice as well. My Fox is in the museum display I made here in Norway - there is a picture of it in the thread (http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=27601). Since it is still stuck in the display I will have to make a new one...

Re: PB Mini mustang with tricks
This is looking good! I have a Maxima on the wait, but I have to finish first my Hot Trick Red Fox build for the Nordic Vintage Challenge... Maybe you should bring your Mini Mustang over to Eskilstuna in February? The swedes are all mainly driving Kyosho so bring your brit!

Re: 2014 Nordic Indoor Vintage Challenge
Initially I couldn’t find the time to be in on this gathering in February. A bit of thinking and I couldn’t resist! Really looking forward to take the trip from Norway to Sweden together with SHY and meet you guys in Eskilstuna! The Fox was my first real car, and I soon got a full Hot Trick conversi...

Re: Race Modified; Mardave Meteor Project
Thank you Dan and all for posting info. The absence of bling factor of Mardave I find really appealing, and I very much agree with you about the simplicity and honesty of these cars attracted the true modeller. As I remember the eighties the "schools" were very different. With the Tamiyas ...

Re: Race Modified; Mardave Meteor Project
It's so nice to see this build! Wanted to do something along the same lines with my own Meteor, but as for 95% of my rc car plans it just won't happen... I never had one in the old days but I've always liked the simplicity of Mardave. After all it made it possible for more people to get into racing....

Re: Team Xtreme Predator X11
Nice to get comments from you people knowing about this car - and not! It's really been a joyful ride this summer and interesting to test some different configurations, electrics, fiddling with wheel geometry, shock and spring set up and so on. I will use this thread to provide some more general inf...

Tenth Technology and Team Xtreme
This spring/summer (2013) has been dedicated to my X11! Until this year my runners have all been vintage (well at some stage, over twenty years ago now, I actually drove modern cars). Although I have driven a few of the later rides I never had one myself. The change came this year getting a Predator...

Re: my Carlsson collection
That early box design of the 1/12 is just so cool! Nice score.
Am I correct in that the quick change wheels first came with the 1/12? Seem to remember at this early stage it was only an upgrade to the 1/8 before it became a standard feature in the kits.
