Re: RC car museum exhibition – Norway. New go from page 4!

Old thread but at last my good friend SHY made a compilation on youtube with some takes from the exhibit. Maybe not of much use to most of you since this is in Norwegian but anyway. The first section is from our national news where this exhibition first was presented. Then SHY introducing in front o...

Really like your Procat. Nice that you kept the GRP and plain aluminium look - the good old Schumacher feel :D

Re: My Schumacher cat xls collection

Looks like you have some very good projects running up! Seems that you maybe rebuilt your runner from XL to XLS? At least i see some SWB/XL parts in your parts heap. That new XLS is just a dream come true... Looking forward to see how you "solve" these builds!

Nice collection you've got there! And the box is ace :D
I would be very surprised if your chassis is not homemade. Layshaft is Nodis.

Re: Topcat front shock mounts......

I think it must be the T216 you're looking for. It's not in the 742 Narrow track bag. And yes they're a bit hard to come by, effort and time will bring you there if you're out of luck.

Re: what car is this hot trick swing arm for???

Thats it. Differences are obvious to the one in Phins link, but I do think yours must be a version of this one.

Re: what car is this hot trick swing arm for???

I still think RC10, Optimal RAM and Red Ultima - a version of the Hot Trick P/N 119. Can't see what else... The regular HT rear arms for the RC10 also came in slight different versions.

Re: Those nasty little paper friction washers...

So only "pro" and no "problem" with the friction paper in the rear :D The hex carriers came in different versions - upgraded Schumacher and optional third party, aluminium and plastic.

Re: Those nasty little paper friction washers...

The 8.25mm and 8.8mm are two different versions of the same parts number (T118).

The first version is the 8.8mm and was ment to be glued to the washer.

The 8.25mm is ment for friction paper, and is the evolution of the 8.8mm.

8.25 for Procat front and rear, but they'll both work fine.

Re: Those nasty little paper friction washers...

You will be fine with 1000 grade sandpaper maybe even better with 600. If the diff is loose the main problem will be heat and meltdown of washer carrier, not the grinding effect from the paper. Just make sure to use a new lock nut and disc springs and tighten (and again) the diff properly...

Re: Corally SP12 project

Stunning example of one of the best looking 1:12 cars ever - congratulations! Never had the SP12, but seeing your build is bringing back good memories building the PK Corally and SP2 I used to have in the eighties. Why, why and why did I sell...

Re: RC car museum exhibition – Norway. New go from page 4!

Thanks for additional pictures. Micro Racing Dune Buggy, I have lots of parts for this car. Unfortunately lots of double parts but no chassis parts so can´t build a car. When I found the green o-rings I wondered what´s the purpose of these, I think there will be not many cars using such tran...
