Hot Trick Hot Shot x 2

Many of the Hot Trick sets were meant to be completed with parts from RC10. This goes for shocks, tie rods, cups/ballstuds, and the chassis is predrilled for the battery cups, nose plate and RC10 bumper. Even if HT had their own steering kits one could just as well use the bellcranks from RC10. AE s...

Re: M3 meets 4-40 threads - Hot Trick Hot Shot x 2

By the way, there are MANY ball bearings that goes into a Hot Shot! On two cars, it is 44 to be exact + 4 thrust bearings. Pace is slow when I use old bearings that are picked apart and packed with grease. That goes for the ones in the gearbox. Easily accessible bearings get a good clean followed by...

Hot Trick Hot Shot x 2

Back in the days I had one Hot Trick car. My Tamiya Fox got a full Hot Trick conversion, resulting in a dramatic change of appearance, a debatable upgrade in driving characteristics - and confusion of threads in my screw box. Today I have several Hot Trick conversions where two are runners – a Fox a...

Re: RC12L runner

Good to see the 12L arrived safely! First time I've sent a roller in an envelope as a letter.
Originally I was planning this as a runner myself, but never got around with this one. Nice you are already making progress!

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - June 2021 ** - Winner - sandkil

This is a long lasting project that has finally come to an end (so far). Hot Trick Hot Shot, with Hot Trick chassis and front end kit, upper and lower rear arms, wheel adaptors and golden steering arms. Parma roll bar and adjustable upper front arms, JG front bumper to go with the Hot Trick red, Tho...

Re: MIP SP1 Ball Raced Diff (BR-100)

Agree on the standard lubrication for ball diffs - silicone grease on diff and molybdenum grease for the thrust bearing. I've seen three versions of the idler gear - steel, brass and delrin. In my opinion the brass and delrin may run dry (of course you could also lubricate these trains (eg ceramic g...

Re: Schumacher Timeline

This might sound odd but i have the name "Geriatric Cat" stuck in my head referring to a long wheel base version of one of the very early cat models ,i think I'd have seen it in a magazine of the period , either Radio Race Car or Model Car Monthly published in the UK, possibly a custom st...

Re: Parma Euro Panther project - Chris Arnold special

Hi there! This is a great thread as always from you:-) Great details on this build. For me I'm simply not here often enough to to follow up on questions like this. Been interested in the Panther and Euro Panther for a long time but you really managed to dig up some cool info. I remember Bud Bartos E...

Re: Best fitting body on Tekin chassis?

Hi there, nice one! I know, not the easiest thing getting a good body fit for this platform. Best result I've managed is using the Viper body (AE #6121). I left about 3mm of lexan below the lover cutting line to get the required section height over the rear shock tower. All in all a good body fit an...

Re: XLS Rerelease

Yes. I've gotten the email this morning and I'm excited just like you and I'd love to believe, too. Can you confirm these blurry, undetailed pictures are pictures from the "new" car, if you catch my drift? ;) Pre-ordering without unambiguity makes me nervous ;) Cheers! Paul http://www.red...
