Re: RC10B4 Sand Rail Project
Thanks for the info ca-rj. I think I'm going to try the Outerwears motor covers. This year I may be stuck with an older brushed set up since a new revelation hit me with this build.

Re: RC10B4 Sand Rail Project
So..... Budget constraints hit hard this installation. I was not able to get the Desperado wheel set up so the whole hex conversion fell thru as well. This is what comes from owning too many rc's. They break and need fixing. So instead of the Desperados I simply mounted the Sling Shot tires on the o...

RC10B4 Sand Rail Project
Hi guys, I'm looking to take my B4 Team Car to the beach this summer and have some fun in the sun. SO I'm going to convert it to the 12mm hex set up first and then out fit it with Proline Sling Shots in the rear mounted on black Desperado's. My first issue arises when it comes time to choose front w...

Re: Battery charging questions
You also need a new Hobby Shop!!!!! ^^^YEAH THIS!!!^^^ If you can afford brushless right off the bat, they can be programmed to do fwd/brk OR fwd/brk/rev. Very handy. Plus they are faster and more energy efficient which means your batteries will last even longer. Your brushed motors will require an...

Re: Newbie with a basket case RC10 project
Great car!! The stealth is more efficient than the standard trans. Three 48pitch gears inside versus six 32pitch gears. I'm pretty sure that the differential in that stealth is a ball diff as opposed to the standard's gear diff. The stealth is just more efficient. Ball bearings will really wake the ...

Re: My RC10B4 Team Car Build
Well, no one has taken it down or moved it, soooo.... UPDATE!!! Well, after over 2mo of waiting for some B3 parts I had on backorder to come in, I ordered the bearings and spacers for the FT rear hub carriers and the SC10 nose/rr chassis brace set. They both arrived today so I'll finally install all...

Re: Aluminum B4 parts
I just picked up some FT -0.5 degree aluminum hub carriers and after installing them i'm noticing alot of fore and aft play AND toe-in/toe-out play on the hinge pin. The carrier has maybe 1 to 1.5mm of movement on the hinge pin WITH the spacers in place. I'm thinking of a few things, 1) FT hinge pin...

FF01 Freshen Up
Tore it down and cleaned every piece. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7146/6834105091_ed7ec4e0a5_b.jpg Took the body and gave it a fresh coat of black paint. Then added the silver mesh grill (not my best work) and yellow fogs. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7175/6834106951_447b64a840_b.jpg http://farm8...

Re: Aluminum B4 parts
Since when is "no flex" a bad thing? I'm confused.
Anyways. I just purchased the Integy sc10 nose brace and rear upper chassis connector/brace. They look real nice and for only $4 more than the AE FT nose brace, I also got that rear piece. Nice.

Re: Tl01 experiance?
I have almost every hop up for it. Never made much of a difference in performance but it looks damn cool plus I have lame bragging rights that I dumped a fortune into it.
I used to run a 10triple in it!! Tore up tires quick! I run a regular stock motor with a 21 tooth pinion now.

Re: Tl01 experiance?
I have a tl01! It was made back around 2001? thru 200? It is a great car for running around the neighborhood, but it really only competes with tl01s and tt01s. The tl01 is in it's waning days and parts are getting harder to find. Unless you trust these hong kong shops.... Mine has bearings, an almos...

I also started doing this to keep track of my peak mAh's (painters tape) so I know when they start to lose their edge.
