Re: RC10T Ebay Runner Project

Any ideas on the CVDs and their origin? I don't see any identifying marks to speak of.... Those are very early MIP CVD's. The early ones have no raised rib around where the cross pin goes. Nice score. As for the gear cover, the current stock Associated 6566 or RPM 70081 cover for the Re-release Wor...

My old school LHS confirmed this. Great Planes will continue with a limited market (static models/planes/craft items), but Horizon will take over their RC car brands, "drones" and what not.

Re: 25 YEARS OF THE RC10 (See page 1)

Does anyone know if the late Graphite Team Car only come with black arms and World's Car rear bulkhead, the one with no ears? I found one but it has white arms and rear bulkhead has long ears. It should be a pre-Worlds long ear bulkhead with reinforced "Worlds" type white rear arms with t...

Re: Sometimes It Pays to Go Take a Look

This is one of the other buggies that came with the deal. I can't tell if it's a B3 or B2. I've never owned either one before and they all look the same to me That buggy is a B3. IThe real mystery seems to be the esc and it's program box. There is very little mention of the brand anywhere on the we...

What to do with a clapped out RC10.

This RC10 has been a buggy. a monster truck, a parking lot basher, and who knows what else... So many extra holes for various wood screws, plywood servo mounts and who knows what else. P1010085.JPG P1010084.JPG Back in the mid 1990's I bought a lot of parts that were readily available to resurrect i...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor

If you want to install an open endbell motor (ie Yokomo/Kyosho from the later 83/84 era) you need to butcher the left side motor pod:

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor

Fantastic thank you! So, dumb question. I have seen JoMac and Jerobee armatures for sale listed as "imported". Does this mean there were some motors that were intended to be taken apart? Or were they all crimped cans? I have reverse engineered a couple of the associated 05 motors for a fr...

Re: Early 80's 1/12th motor

Pretty much any Igarashi based motor would be correct. The Jomac motors were labeled Jerobee. Search Igarashi for ideas. Reedy, Trinity, Leisure, MRP all did stock and modified versions as well. I'm not going to submit this to the build of the month, but I figured I would a least put current pictures up.
