Re: Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc
Ummm well yes it will fit :) I bought one almost by accident as I thought it was a 540 sized motor. Imagine my face when the little 380 popped out of the box. All it took to work was lining up the bottom hole and then putting a washer on the top bolt which ends up sndwiching against the big motor ho...

Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc10?
This is the Velineon VXL3m Extreme Brushless Power System from Traxxas. This is for the 1/16th scale VXL from Traxxas and will fit many other 1/12-1/18 scale rc's and boats. Ya think I could mount this up to my rc-10 gold pan car? Its the old one with the white suspension? Will it physically bolt up...

Re: Rc10 sand scorcher trail buggy project
Well last night being inspired by Rizzo's awsome bumper I created one of my own. Mind you its not as pretty but I needed a little longer one with more rake to go over fallen branches and stuff. Also my metal skills are not the best. Still here is what I got. Still waiting on the body for the last st...

Re: Rc10 sand scorcher trail buggy project
Suspension is restored. Works much better. Chassie wise I am done. It is even water proofed. So now the long wait for the body begins. I smeared clear silicon all over the speed controller and the servo for the steering, and put the radio in a balloon. From past experiend with my Axial this aught to...

Re: Rc10 sand scorcher trail buggy project
Rizzo where did you get that front bumper. I love that bumper! Nvwax Im probably painting my buggy up orange like yours but without the decals. then Im going to sand it in spots to make it look like the paint is getting thin and showing some white (primer) and maybe some rust along the bottom. Im st...

Re: Rc10 sand scorcher trail buggy project
That is a sweet roof rack. I may try to make one from scratch first. If that does not work out Ill look at getting that rack. I spent today taping up all the wiring to tame the octopus I had going on. Ran it for fun and it is pleanty fast. I am on restoring the steering to stock. Waiting on the body...

Rc10 sand scorcher trail buggy project
Since like 1979 or so Ive wanted a sand scorcher, I ended up with a frog and well have never gotten the VW thing out of my system (I have owned many full scale bugs and currently have a 66 sunroof Cal looker). I have also owned a lot of other rc vehicles and the one I really enjoyed was the rc-10. I...
