Re: 48p spur for 6 gear
Also, RJSpeed makes a direct fit gear for the 6gear RC10. As far as pinions go, just add half-again asmany teeth to make a corresponding size (ex.- 14 in 32pitch = 21 in 48pitch).

Re: so, it's been a month....
Great job! Keep up the good work...I wish I could do the same, but sure enough, I'd get a customer with a hunk of rust and doesn't know what goes to, but expects me to know....I'd probably clock him with it.

Re: Feel good story
Here's an idea....I put this together when I was in Iraq. It's a Traxxas Emaxx that was supplied to the EOD guys for use against IEDs. They really didn't know what to do with it, except strap C4 to it, drive it to the IED and detonate it...one-time use. I took it a little further...The idea was to c...

Re: the big 5?
Most of the answers here are pretty subjective, but I think Slotcarrod broke it down pretty well. One thing I think a lot of people would agree on, is that the hobby in general hasn't been the same since the RTR market became popular. In today's world of instant gratification, "hobby" cars...

Here's my fleet. After 27 years, and having every type of car imaginable, I've finally come full circle and established my final collection. Enjoy. group shot.jpg My early Cadillac 6-gear. "Jammin Jay" diff kit, 48 pitch gear, Dubro linkages, inline axles and Traxxas bell crank. RC10_1.jpg...

What a great find! You're in better shape than me...I wouldn't attempt to install an e-clip before half a pot of coffee, at least.
Any plans on the final set-up as far as dying parts or modifications?

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
OK...NOW I'm officially finished. My boss thought it needed something to tow, so here it is...(no, it isn't functional.)
I had to add a drawbar and PTO housing to the tractor in order to make the connection look right. Note the engine pic added to it.
...Still no luck on the Daisy Duke doll.

Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
I found an engine pic for the sides while looking through Bing. That really finished it off. I'll have to bring it home and take a couple of pics... Right now, it's on the counter at work. The boss loves it! He drove it all over the parking lot and yard, and was like a little kid...He mentioned brin...

Hcp22: Here you go... DSCN0410.JPG DSCN0409.JPG The driveshaft is slightly angled to line up with the rear end. The yokes are steel, with set screws on both sides. Re: She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
Great Idea, thanks...I'll have to do that. We had this same tractor on our farm, when I was a kid...When we baled hay, I would tow the trailer around ever since I was big enough to step on the clutch... Today, they're a far cry from those old tractors.
Thanks again for the idea.

Here's my final RC project...A 1966 Massey Ferguson 165 ag tractor. It's entirely hand-built using a dremel, with metal from K&S and the local hardware store. The front axles and steering linkage are from DuBro. The hood is styrene plastic, and I used a gearbox and rear end from an Axial crawler...

Re: gold pan on-road?
I bought some Mini-T 1/10 wheel adapters from ebay. They only needed slight reaming in the center, and the front bearings were a direct fit. That way, I can use touring rims/tires for onroad. Take a look at the HPI vintage rears. They're 31mm and are very proportional to the car.

Re: foam tires?
I run a set of Bolink foams that I got off Ebay on a blacktop parking lot. Mine have "Bolink Racing Tire" on the sidewall. The rears are wearing well, but the fronts are eating up pretty quick. If I could find a smooth tennis court, or asphalt (dammit, Florida) they would wear better.
