The Evolution of RC Batteries - Digital Magazine Article

Hey everyone, it took a ton of research but I've compiled an article that ran in Velocity RC Magazine about the Evolution of RC Batteries. You can read it at the link below:

Help with Sanyo DATE CODES for Magazine Article

Hi everyone, I'm compiling a 'History of RC Batteries' article for Velocity RC Magazine and I could use some of your help. The article is basically done but I'm trying to narrow down the dates of release for some specific cells. There is very little info on some of the older cells so I've decided to...

Re: Detroit 1994 1/8 Nitro Buggy Kyosho Race

Thanks for checking Reg! I couldn't make it to the '93 race but a few of my Canadian friends made the main. I made A at the '94 race in nitro buggy and was hoping someone would have some pics or results kicking around themselves.

Re: Detroit 1994 1/8 Nitro Buggy Kyosho Race

It can't be Jan. 1994 because the race was something like Sept. 1994. I don't think the race made it into the magazine either.

Detroit 1994 1/8 Nitro Buggy Kyosho Race

I'm sure this is a long shot, but was anyone there at the Sterling Heights track? Did anyone get any pics, race results?? This race was at the old track, the same track as the 1991 1/10 Electric Worlds where Cliff Lett won the 4WD class. I think the race was called the "Kyosho Nitro World Chall...

Re: Vintage -- Reedy In A Can

I think Reedy In a Can was a conductive fluid used on the line to increase the current passing capabilities of the brush and commutator.... it wasn't used for cleaning if I remember correctly. I could be wrong, but I think it also evaporated quickly forcing us racers to use it as late into the start...

Re: Masami 4+2 Chassis Replica TEASER~

Excellent, thanks for the pic! Do you have this chassis? I'm wondering why it is different than the one Masami used at the Worlds! Is this the chassis that was included with the special Worlds release of 50-kits by Yokomo after Masami's Worlds win??

Re: Masami 4+2 Chassis Replica TEASER~

Is this based on the green YZ-10 with the pink wheels? I always adored that car back in the day. I would love to see this build completed. Can we see some progress? :D Updates coming soon - I've just been so busy that I haven't gotten much done with this sucker. I have ALL of the parts I need now e...

Re: Masami 4+2 Chassis Replica TEASER~

I have captured the chassis by someone years ago,do you need the chassis bottom view? Yes!! I would love to see other views of this chassis. Although, if yours is different at the section you circled it must be a bit different than the '89 Masami one because that section of the chassis can be seen ...

That last picture looks sooo sexy!! I love carbon fiber tubs! Can't wait to see some parts bolted to this sucker - and I love the fact that it'll be unique with the narrow front end. Well done!

Re: Why would you do that? YZ10 Resto

I think you've got your front and rear diffs swapped... not a big deal but the belt pulley with the single flange usually goes at the rear.

Re: MIP 4-10 Build

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! I'm just about to get started on my 4-10 as well... and I also have a set of those bearing arms - but I think you're going to have a hard time using the titanium hingepins if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the titanium hingepins are slightly larger diam...
