no i agree, gray plastic is icky and the pede isnt the most graceful car in any sense of the word, i grew up on the xl1 black chassis rusty and i remember when i first saw the pede in a tower catalog i thought it was a stupid looking thing but then i wound up getting one from a co-worker of my moms ...

still think these monster jam pedes are puke boxes

all the bulks are same between the nitro rusty/pede, srt, e-rusty/pede, bandit, and slash (2wd) and the internals are the same in all their trannys

the hinge pins are the same diameter but with the srt and i think the nitros' use a e-clip hinge pin that isnt hardened
