It's the same as the re-re Scorpion.tamiya wrote:was flicking thru last years jap mags... at Scorpion re-re announcement, noticed they showed the re-are front track has been made wider than an old original Tomahawk.
Will re-re a Tomahawk be wider again, or will it just stick with Scorpion re-re's width.

Re: 4WD RC10 project
Just to be 100% sure (I'm a RC10 rookie).... It will not be possible to use the A&L Lethal Weapon 2 tranny with this, as the mid gear that drives the belt to the front wheels are just a pulley/guide on the LW2 transmission?

[REQUEST] "Trinity Powered" logo
I have been searching high and low for a good "Trinity Powered" logo, but with no success. This is the one used on the front of Joel Johnson's WC'87 Ultima. Any chance that anyone have this logo and could post it here?

Thanks, I'll see what I can findmk-Zero wrote:Tom, the easiest and most economical thing to do it by a good used Stealth transmission from ebay. Other than that you can look up the parts on AE's website, and they do sell a complete Stealth transmission kit, but its over $100 USD

Re: 4WD RC10 project
I really like that you are also making a stealth rear tranny case that have the old 6-gear tranny mounting screw pattern, and are bolt-on to older pre-stealth chassies. For us without stealth RC10's that is a real gem. As I'm a RC10 newbie, and both my RC10CE's have the old 6-gear trannys, would a k...

Re: RC10 goldpan rookie questions
Thanks to the kind people that helped me in the right direction, I have now concluded that both my RC10's started out as CE's. One early and one later. One of them will be restored as a RC10 Championship Edition. I even think I have the correct, brand new, Protech II body somewhere..... The other on...

Re: RC10 goldpan rookie questions
the andy's are 'long' as well as the other arms, referred to as 'team' arms. the short front arms are really short. take a really close look at that rc10 thread, many good reference pictures. Thank you, jwscab. That was actually what I was hoping! The rc10 evolution thread is great, only a bit &quo...

Re: RC10 goldpan rookie questions
can't see the rear wheels clearly, but I forgot to mention the fronts on the first appear to be maybe B4 wheels, the front on the second are HPI super star wheels. Here are the wheels and tires. All tires are Team Losi, except for those on the HPI wheels, they are Pro-Line. RC10 1 rc10_1d.jpg rc10_...

Re: RC10 goldpan rookie questions
Thanks jwscab, now that I know a little bit more about them, it will be easier to know where to look in the excellent thread that city.life posted earlier! gomachv, I didn't notice first what you said about Brian working on a special tranny case for the 4wd kit. I think I'll just wait for that inste...

Re: RC10 goldpan rookie questions
Thanks for the insight city.life and gomachv! I actually believe my two goldpans are "bastards", with a mix and match of parts. Here are some pics. RC10 1 This one has a Andy's bumper. I only know because it says "Andy's" on it  rc10_1a.jpg rc10_1b.jpg rc10_1c.jpg RC10 2 Thi...

RC10 goldpan rookie questions
Please just move on if you get annoyed by my ignorance  I have a couple of old goldpans that have been collecting dust for years. I put them away when I realized I had no tools (imperial) to work on them.... But now, with the "remake" of a 4wd kit going on here at rc10talk, as well a...

Re: Joel 'Magic' Johnson's 1987 IFMAR 2wd winning Ultima
I have dug up the emails from Joel from 2008 when I built my replica, and he wrote that he no longer have the gear box. So one detail that still would be unclear is the diff used. ME: I also have two different sources on the differential used. One claims it to be a standard Ultima geared diff, while...
