Re: Kyosho motors - early 90s
The Le Mans 240E was out of the electric Glider. The E stands for Economy with bronze bushings instead of the more expensive bearings. Around a 19t I say. All the Le mans and Spa motors were only machine wound arms compared to Reedy & trinity with hand wound arms. Kyosho cans were among the best...

Great thread.
What a score with all those Ultima parts. Did you get any body sets or cages in the lot?
Cheers

Vintage Kyosho Ultima's in action at Boondall !!
Just finished this video of a couple Ultima's that are regular runners at the Boondall track.
We love the first generation cage Ultima's and they go really well with better shocks & turbo towers.

First attempt doing a video with my Gopro 3 Black
Got a few friends together for a short video at Boondal with my new Gopro 3 Black.
Had help from my lovely wife with the editing on this, There is a few obvious mistakes but it turned out ok.

Re: My Turbo Optima
Nice score. As others said this example looks to have little use. I find it a bit odd that the motor is a Le Mans 240 can with a different end bell as it should be all red. My Turbo Optima I bought new never came with front universals. It was a option I think but It was a long time ago so I could be...

Re: Tamiya Fox re-re
The re re Fox is somewhat strange as Stella sold out of stock in 3 hrs. Rc Mart got a 2nd shipment in sold out in 2 weeks with a higher price tag of $145. Stella's price has been taken off which means a new price will be adjusted . I feel Tamiya pushed there existing stock out to get the jump on the...

Re: Toy grade/ Hobby Grade Mid Ship 4wd RTR from Ban Dai !
Yeah it looks to be of decent quality and the plastics seem have some flex so not brittle. I'm really not sure what I will do as I have had a offer from a Tamiya Club member for almost 4 times what I paid for it. I really like cars that are a little different that's why I wanted this model. C...

Toy grade/ Hobby Grade Mid Ship 4wd RTR from Ban Dai !
This is a toy grade cross hobby grade r/c car from Ban Dai . Looks to be a slightly modded Hot Shot but with twin shocks at each end but it's really totally different. Battery is mounted long ways up the chassis. Twin diffs that is shaft driven by Mid Ship motor 4WD lay out . Suspension looks to be ...

Re: Tamiya Fox re-re
Thanks guys. Aaah a Stella kit I see too!! Kym you will love the build as it's a quality kit compared to the re re from the philippines . It's very quick with a 17t pinion. Better balanced with the steering servo re located further forward. Should be stronger too with new plastics and more webbing i...
