Re: My ebay score
Here's some pictures of it. In the first Pic mine is on the left and my brother-in-laws is on the right. Which BTW he told me to just keep it, that he didn't really want it and that his young boys would demolish it. He said he knew it had a safe home here with my other 8 RC cars. Now the one I got f...

Re: My ebay score
Woo Hoo... Got an email at work earlier that my RC-10 arrived at my doorstep. So I went home at lunch to get it off the porch and put it in the house. I opened to take a peek at it. It's it really good condition. There are just a few very small scratches on the chassis but from 3 feet away you can't...

Re: Masami replica buildup
Great project. I can't wait to see this one coming together. I wonder if anyone has some better pics from old rc car mags. I remember seeing this car in magazines quite a bit back then. Good luck with the build.

Re: My ebay score
i have a feeling it was actually a short arm car. it has the 2 hole front tower and the offset steering knuckles. someone just put the wide track arms on it at some point in time. That's what I was thinking happened to it too.. And why I mentioned finding the short front arms for it. I may just lea...

Re: My ebay score
That's a Protech 1 from the original short armed RC10, if you have a look at this link there are some pictures and more info., the protech 2 is no longer produced :( http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1764&start=0 Hold off buying anything until someone can positively identify the R...

Re: My ebay score
To me it definitely looks like an early CE (although the front shock tower might not be correct), hopefully someone else will chip in to confirm, if it is and you want to continue the originality I think you would need to fit a Protech 2 body. To add, that looks like a super clean A chassis, if it'...

Re: My ebay score
I will also probably look for some of the narrow front suspension arms for it if I can find some in good non yellowed shape. That looks like a nice early CE to me are you sure you want to swap those original front arms out :?: :| Oh, I am new to the RC-10. I thought those wide arms might not be ori...

Re: My ebay score
Aggghhh... Had an issue with painting the body. I got a new pro tech body, washed it with mild detergent. Taped up the windows and laid out my strips. Started painting and noticed that on every rolled edge (like where the sides go up and roll into the top of the hood, roof, side pods, etc) the paint...

Yup, I have had the same issue with the china knock offs as well. Better to spend a little more. I also like the new traxxas connectors too.

Re: My ebay score
Just got an email from the USPS that my protech body should be at my doorstep.
Now I am trying to decide if a go for an old school 80's\90's paint job or bring the body up to date. I am leaning towards old school to keep it in date with the chassis time period.
