I have an 18T with the Mamba 6800 and 2S lipo. I cannot figure out how people with 3S packs and/or the 8000 kv motor even drive them. This is so fast that it almost cannot be opened up, in any amount of space, even on the street. It will flip over backwards at 30MPH if you get on it. Pretty insane. ...

I just picked this up. It is a Losi NXT graphite Plus. THis is a really loaded kit, like the upper end Losi's are. It came with CVDs, Ti nitrate shock shafts, all graphite parts, bearings, ti turnbuckles, ball bearing steering, dual slipper setup, and a few other hop-ups. I have never run a Losi nit...

Thanks, but compared to boats specifically engineered to go fast, it just creeps. For an entry level deep vee design, it is indeed crazy fast.
The boat world record is like 120 MPH. Like 4 TIMES faster

Well, I am kinda-sorta running out of RC stuff to post. Way back in 1992 I bought my first Traxxas Villain IV. It is an RC boat with dual counter-rotating props. It was pretty much a disaster because the props fell off, the gears stripped, and generally all sorts of noob-like things happened. As I s...

I hope you wore a mask!
I have been considering doing that for a while, but the chassis I have is too crappy to use for the niceness of the rest of the parts and not crappy enough to use for shock towers, etc.
Those graphite chassis make EXCELLENT shock towers.

Wow

I've cut hours and hours of CF and have never worn a mask.
But I don't smoke.
But I do drive on the roads.

Ya, well... certifications exist to acquire jobs, not knowledge
Without actually using the stuff you learn it goes away pretty quickly. At least for me.

Cheers.

MAC filtering is not possible on the Internet. Nowhere in an IP packet's header does your computer's MAC address exist. Once your packet traverses a router, buh bye MAC address. MAC filtering can be done on a LAN, however.

12 teeth seems very low to me.
I'd start in the high teens and you'll probably end up in the low 20's with the larger spur gear. You may even get into the mid 20's.

I agree. The pinnacle of RC talent lies in the helisphere. If you can accept that, watching Szabo videos will flat amaze you. Just get on youtube and search for szabo helicopter Such as these... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s__ubK5LQAs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iWIRGaBoZI http://www.youtube....

Anyone have a micro helicopter? A few years ago, I bought a Hirobo Lama XRB. The learning curve is not like surface RC! And mistakes are far more catastrophic (and expensive)... even for one of these micro helis. What is amazing is that these coaxial micro helis are EASY to fly compared to a true RC...
