Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

WD40 also works well for removing sticky servo tape and other residue. I would use the Rooster since it's still period correct. If you had an early 6 gear non-CE then I can see using a msc. By the mid 90's esc's were extremely common and affordable. That's what keeps going through my mind too, it's...

Re: Best Liquid Mask product?

I have only used the Bob Dively mask…it’s good stuff. Thanks! Looks like it's sold out everywhere, possibly out of production. It is out of production. The factory literally burned down. Wow, that's why the abrupt disappearance. absolutely not Spaz Stix unless you enjoy pain and suffering. Also mos...

Chemical based paontsbseem to react with it and it doesn't peel off then. Proline is also very easy to work with b...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

The Rooster, technically is stock equipment for the late CE Stealth kit, and for that era in general. I was never racing, and reverse would've been helpful back then. But so far: (2) votes for MSC I'm still leaning to the ESC side, and clear body, hard choice. https://i.imgur.com/feXzvpR.jpg https:/...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

As luck would have it, I have a large bottle of Naptha that I used for guitar necks/fretboard inlay repair. https://i.imgur.com/PcQKQAx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TDTJK6j.jpg https://i.imgur.com/l0Xeldn.jpg Also worked incredibly well on that tape: https://i.imgur.com/OUKCyC0.jpg Switch tape too: https...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Got the Associated step pins back on the rims, and pulled it apart to decide what to do next. Cleaned up a bit, but a long way to go still. https://i.imgur.com/9iMWt9w.jpg What's a good product for removing that old Rx tape on the pan? That stuff is on there good, I soaked it in 99% alcohol, and it ...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Honestly, you don't find many RC10's with their original MSC so maybe you'll want to leave it installed. I only have one in my collection. Of course, if you decide to swap it for an ESC, you'll want to keep all the bits with the box and manuals. Take note that it's currently in the full on position...

Best Liquid Mask product?

I'm thinking of ordering and using Bittydesign liquid mask. Is there a better choice available today for RC bodies?

Done with tape bleed and poor curves:

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

If I'm going to put this RC10 on a shelf, and not drive it anymore, I'm wondering if I should leave the original speed controller in it. Or add this Novak Rooster to it, for some flash. What would you guys do, in my situation? https://i.imgur.com/yLcRSW6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/tev3OmF.jpg Also, is ...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?

Thanks for the reply! I'll get those step pins back on there asap. I'll have to admit, that I remember being somewhat disappointed when I first opened this kit, the wheels not being the old jelly bean's with the knock off center hubs, and the shocks not matching the body, was a surprise. I had built...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Painted two colors so far on my Tamiya M-06 VW Bus kit. Still has that outer factory plastic wrap on it, until I can get the Smoke color for the windows, and spray that last inner step. https://i.imgur.com/QS3y8yG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ysTArTY.jpg I can never paint exactly right, this time I used ...

Found what I was looking for. Love this site.
