Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2018 ** - Winner - Asso_man!

Here we go... My entry is a RC10L Toyota GTP TRD themed car. It all started out by a Reg (charlie dont surf) giving me a set of custom made wheels by Jake... I think as I somewhat remember it. Since I had custom wheels, why stop there. Durb69, Derrick, made me a one off nerf bars and a gear cover 8)...

Bodies to paint

I got board at work and found myself on TBG site... I needed a Jrx2 wing, but figured that if I was paying for shipping, I might as well grab a couple of bodies. I picked up a MRP Mears body and a Jammin Jay Jumper body along with the Losi wing. The plan is to make some money on the bodies to comple...

Re: Paintings for Asso_man!

That is impeccable work! You have a real talent. I am going to send you a PM to see if you may be interested in painting some bodies for me. Thanks! You aren't the only one, these gems followed directly after for EvilAsh https://scontent.fyyc1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/29683830_10156130260425429_487...

Re: Paintings for Asso_man!

Just finished up the Losi body. Thanks for the help Daniel, the extra angles on that Losi really helped. I did a little test piece to make sure I got the stripes right. I hope they are good. https://scontent.fyyc5-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/29542699_10156116494405429_5210885491170868645_n.jpg?oh=672d8...

Re: Paintings for Asso_man!

You're doing a great job of resurrecting the lost art of painting an attractive, simple-but-effective scheme. Bold but not overdone. Simple, clean striping, but not the goofy cars-with-eyes, neon-puke tribals, template-crazy examples that proliferate these days with modern cars. Nope, but I a...

Re: Paintings for Asso_man!

I'm now back home. I've gotten some painting supplies back up to par and now have the Losi masked up. It's won't be long before she's all painted up and sent across the pond. More updates in the days to follow. https://scontent.fyyc4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/29543036_10156111937485429_90049190171479...

I just went through my painting file folder and started counting... this RC10 body is my 150th air brushed painting and the Losi will make 151 8)

Re: New Composite RC10 buggy.....

I bet the metal plate is the "template" that people used to drill hole from a 6 gear tranny to a stealth tranny. For some reason, who ever driller the new holes didn't remove the plate and just screwed the trans on top of it. I would remover the plate and screw the transmission back down.
