Re: Another battered child. RPS = Rescued by Protective Services
Looks great! Glad we could help. Your bumper looks just like the aftermarket one I bought 23 or so years ago! BTW-It protects the AE shocks on my Hot Trick dual shock conversion (also 23 years old...) nicely as well. Someday the rest of my SE will look that nice I hope... I also recently f...

Re: Works 93
Finally got hold of a works 93 just before Christmas. The holidays gave me the prefect opportunity for a complete rebuild. The car came to me in really good order but was minus the correct top deck and battery straps so I had to get them in carbon fibre from Fibreltye, I also got the steering link ...

That site has some amazing photos. If you click the 'next' ball to the left of a car pic you get several more large pics of the same car from many angles. I love the Jay Halsey and other vintage race car pics.

Nice Score!!!
Those came out in 1985 or so IIRC. I have some Tower Hobbies catalogs from that time period that list it. I have a Kyosho Nimitz-.06 Buggy that's what I'd consider the 'father' of your Datsun Stepside (got it new as a Christmas present many years ago!). The Nimitz came out around 1982 or 1983. These...

Re: My 834B
I'm glad I kept mine. They weren't the fastest 4WD in their day, but these early Yokes handled a rough track much better than the Optimas at my track. I mostly raced 4WD Stock, so I can identify with the eficiency issues. Just making a 1000mAh-1200mAh NiCad pack last five minutes on a hot day was an...

Re: 834B resto
these front wheels are from '94 YZ-10, and the rear ones were made for RC10 by yokomo. works 91/93's front wheels have right offset for this setup. but I din't have it anymore. and, the front wheel hubs are original. and the rear's are 870c's front ones. it makes 3~4mm bigger offset on each side Th...

Holy Moly!!!

I about shed a tear when I saw that. Gotta put the $$$ aside for a MrLexan body for my SE. What wheels are those white ones? Those are 870 hubs correct?

Re: What do these RPM parts fit?
I agree. RPM wasn't around back when Yokomos ran chains. Those sprockets look to be way too large to be Yokomo sprokets too.Asso_man! wrote:I want to say they fit a Custom Works Dominator, but I'm not that sure. They certainly don't fit any Yokomo though...

Re: Delta Yokomo project start
Allright!!! Another awesome early Yokomo build. That's an impressive collection of NIP Yok and aftermarket parts. Haven't seen that many together in 20 years. Wish I'd bought out that hobby shop's supply before they closed down. I hope you're gonna race this baby when you're done building. This insp...

Re: 2009 Vintage Off Road Nationals !!!! -- Tentatively Schedule
it'd be cool to have a pure vintage class, i understand why some of you have the nostalgia for the real vintage experience, but i dont think it was so bad the way it was. not only that but it was hectic enough with just the classes we had. i'm definitely going to get my own transponder this time. T...
