Re: Memorial Day

Thanks to all who are serving and have served this great country. You all are the reason we can argue about decals versus stickers for days on end. Just kidding on that note... but a very serious, heartfelt thank you from this household! On a side note of JK's sidenote: you want me to drive t...

Re: resignation

His post is in a section that does not require login, so he could have read them that way. To me it almost seems like someone else hijacked his account. I almost posted up something encouraging, but I had looked at the last login time and figured he had made up his mind. I hope not, but que sera. :w...

Re: What did I buy (RC10L)

So after what Dave said about the airfoil. I did some researching and it turns out they are really rare. Now I don't know if I should use it on a car I already have or repair the package and keep it in the package forever. Is it frowned upon and considered non original to make a new bag or should I...

Re: Ok Who still has their first Trophy ???

All mine were donated in 1990 or so. My avatar is a photo I took of them all just before they went. I have several from the past few years- our local club awards trophies for 3 points series each season, plus I have a couple plaques (including VONats ones). The last couple club series that I won, I ...

Re: New Tamiya releases

My money would be on a re-colored variation of the latest Clod model (Super Clodbuster?) with a re-re of the old Bullhead body. If I was a betting man.

Re: It's time for another terminology rant: Motor vs. Engine

Ha, I just saw a commercial the other day for the Mr. Clean eraser product and they said you could use it on car rims. Those things take the paint right off your wall... originally they were marketed to remove crayon, etc and we bought some (having kids... and stuff on our walls). I ended up doing ...

Re: Soldering the anti roll bar

Heating the solder wasn't a problem, although it was not a good idea to solder on the dining room table  but my only opportunity was during dinner.  Thats a great idea civilguy, can I get that sketch in .dwg format? I was actually detailing a bridge survey for a client and ju...

Re: Soldering the anti roll bar

I remember drilling a hole in a piece of hardwood for the ball end and CA'ing two pieces of balsa vertically for the wire to slide between.
