Re: MRC Super Brain 969 Opinions?

I've used Integy and had issues charging anything over 3000 cells. It was an older charger but I was told by their customer support that it should have done up to the 4200 that I had. It did not- it still sits in the box. I've used the Duratrax Intellipeak twin and it charged fine until a power surg...

Re: V-Nats Tech Thread....... show your stuff, rc10 or not

Thanks for the pic Jay - and Mr. ED it's a JG Manufacturing "Dart" body, JG roof spoiler, AYK Magnum 360L, Parma bumper, repro aluminum wheels from eggayk (sells on eBay- referred from TC) and CRP battery door (can't see that!).

Re: Help me remember.... 2 cars

Was it 2wd or 4wd?? If you're saying grey buggy in the Hornet era then I'm going to guess Sonic Fighter.

Welcome aboard. I was old enough to not appreciate Punky Brewster at the time (I can now that she's all grown up ;) ), but so many people seem to reference that show as a big r/c influence.

i thought this was going to be a big event. from the pictures, it just looks like it was between some people from this forum. Ummmm... wow. Is that supposed to be an attempted insult or am I just reading your post wrong? If you hadn't noticed this forum is a diehard bunch of vintage racers, ...

Re: ** LIVE Vintage Nationals Coverage **

What a great time! I had all sorts of running problems-- it took me right back to the 1200 hump pack days!! I couldn't finish a race then either... Jay- thanks for documenting all this. The pics look great.... except for me on the stand. Couldn't you at least have told me to shut my m...

Re: *** The official VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS thread ***

The track's regular hours are 9am-11pm on Saturdays. I'm guessing 9am... but I'll probably be there earlier. Mapquest says 3 hours, but I'm hoping for less than that! :D

Re: *** The official VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS thread ***

I'll have mine... just got some fluid at the LHS. It has a stock motor in it, but I can dial my PS down low enough that it's not screaming. I got it that way cheap and can't see spending the coin on a 55t that I'd use 3 times a year. ;) I should be there around 9am tomorrow. I'll wear a red rose.......

Re: PRE VINTAGE NATIONAL PICTURES - UPDATED

Great shots! I can guarantee the shots of mine will be on their lids!!! :D I'm glad at least one of us will be getting a record of this event. I haven't had time to take any pics.... after a 15 hour day at work I came home at 830pm and I just shut off the soldering iron now. The last of the wiring i...

Re: Parma Shells

If anyone else is interested, I would order at least 3 "Stinger" bodies for the Hornet/Grasshopper. I think there would be a market for the "Wells Coyote" Hotshot body as well. bgniles- I'm not sure if you're over at TC as well, but there could be some interest in Parma bodies th...
