I have 2 brand new, uncut, unpainted bodies here, but I'm terrified to paint them.
So, well done to you for doing what looks like a great paint job to me.
http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=91592&id=2 You guys might like this. Especially the story. I should do some better pics too. It is the car I built when I bought the conversion kit. I ran it on and off road, was a great car, especially on our astro turf track. The reason I sold i...
here is how I have things so far. Servo is bolted in, everything else just sat in place. http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r542/stulec52/null-32.jpg http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r542/stulec52/null-30.jpg I think I will get away with running the Li-Po across the chassis that way as it really...
well, here's my CATs. not sure if the car on the right is an XLS or Procat I think PRO... the car second from left has some new part on already, and I have a brand new chassis and some plastic parts to go on with one of the new bodies to do a Masami replica one day... http://i1171.photobucket.com/al...
I can do pics, but thought the XLS also used the stick pack setup as the body was too narrow for the saddle pack chassis? But, if that is the case, then I have about 4 CAT XLs (3 fully built, and parts for one more), and maybe only 1 XLS. I do also have a brand new T648R which is the SPXL chassis co...
CAT XL to XLS, what changed?? I remember when the original SWB came out, then the conversion kit came out quickly afterward, then you could buy the XLS, but I don't remember the XL being available as a kit, but looking on the front cover of my manual the XL has a kit number, so it must of been avail...
I have no issue in drilling out the chassis I'm using for this, so that might be a good piece to get.
It doesn't look the correct shape though, although that might just be the pictures.
Got my Li-Pos in. Perfect size. Now I need to find a more elegant way of mounting them. Wonder if Tamiya make a piece I could use, or Associated maybe. Just thinking what my local store might have available to use. Will post a couple of pics where the car is up to in a day or 2, but coming together ...
I came up with a nice solution.
Using 2 bearings, and 2 nylon bushings from Fireblade steering.
It's super smooth now.
Some new hardware on too, and mocked up where the servo will fit, and appears it'll work awesome.
Pics soon, just awaiting a shorty Li-Po to test fit everything.
