i bought a lot of cars and this very buggy was in the box! im looing for a body to fit it ,do you have any idea where to get one? I can recommend these https://marwanrc.com/ but make sure you are sure of which model of inferno you have so you can get the correct decals. Marwan has the decals for th...

Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
White color polycarbonate paint has finally become available again where I live. I decided to go with the simple blue metallic / white scheme that I used to have: Stunning!! I really like the color combination. Congratulations and thanks for posting your progress over the past months and all the wo...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Inferno - New Rebuild #2
It's a roller. I don't think the green wheels are a great fit with the blue on the buggy. I much prefer the blue wheels on my other Turbo Inferno. However it's nice to see the iconic coloring. I think it would be great to see the car with blue plastic parts. Possibly with green accents in a custom ...

Congratulations on finding the NIB kit, and thanks for reaching out to Chrono Racing to bring the community great pictures and information on these incredibly rare parts! It really is invaluable ...

Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
Fascinating! Thanks for posting that, I did not know they existed. The part number IF05 is the same as the plastic versions. It would be great to know more about them if you have any additional details. They look really good on the car too!

Re: Electric conversion Kyosho MP5
Hi Brian, I am not to sure which to recommend for the MP5/6 at the moment as I have yet to make a conversion myself. I would try to get a used MP 7.5 conversion kit to start off with as it contains all the components one needs including a box for the receiver. Otherwise the mount below is quite simi...

Kyosho MP5/MP6 Brushless conversion
Hello all, I bumped into this thread a while back https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=44063#p500819 and as I am considering trying both classic Inferno and MP5/MP6 brushless conversions at a later date, I was wondering if someone who happens to have an MP5/6 and an MP7.5 could measure...

Re: Electric conversion Kyosho MP5
Hi Big Brian, ok that is a shame but I can understand why you are not pressing forward with it. Yes it will probably be harder to convert the classic Inferno models as the MP5/6 was much closer to the MP7.5 layout. Unfortunately Dan Kershaw passed away a few years ago. Here is the obituary (you will...

Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
HI K-Max, that is amazing information, thanks!. Please feel free to post any more information you might have on the Kyosho Team parts as I am sure this is of interest to others, or you can of course contact me via PM if you would rather not go too far off-topic in this thread. I have made a quick re...

Re: Electric conversion Kyosho MP5
I think someone did a Burns conversion as well. Used a MP7.5 conversion kit as well? Hi Big Brian, sorry I have not been in the forum for quite a while and I forgot to set the notifications for this thread (I have selected that now). Is this the Burns with the MP 7.5 conversion kit you were referri...

Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
Hi K-Max, thanks for the quick reply and the picture of the diff in its original packaging. That is a great reference for other fans of the MP5/MP6! I had never heard of Kyosho Team parts up until now, and a quick google search didn't give many results. If you have any information about them it woul...

Re: Help identifying an early buggy
I agree, if you could post some pictures that would be best. Just some shots of the entire car from a couple of angels will be enough. You can also look at my flickr page where I have an example of most of the models, or you can check on the Wikipedia pages for the Burns and Inferno where you will f...

Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
Hi K-Max, I haven't checked this forum for a while and it looks like I missed out this great build. The car looks great! Thanks for posting the close-ups shots as well. Would you mind if I make a reference and link to this thread on the Inferno Wikipedia page? You mentioned, that the Torsen Diff was...

Re: Electric conversion Kyosho MP5
Hi Big Brian, I didn't see your thread until today. Did you have any luck converting your MP5? I don't own an MP 7.5 but I think the mounts were different. I am considering an MP5 conversion myself. I read somewhere that the owner (I believe it was Tim Kershaw?) passed away :( but I can't find the l...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Inferno - New Rebuild
I think it depends on how the body is being painted. Or would you prefer to paint the body based on the look of the car after chosing the color of the wing?
