I'm going to have to get one of those to finish the build.

Re: Sipper eliminators for the b4 topshaft 2.25

I'm sure the B6 parts wont fit, but from memory exotek did make a slipper eliminator for the B4 series. Ebay will probably be your best bet since most things for the B4 are discontinued now. That is the right call. I'll Just ordered the exotek 1942. They have it in stock on their website with a $2....

Sipper eliminators for the b4 topshaft 2.25

Hey all, I'm looking for a slipper eliminator for my 2.25 with a b4 stop shaft. I know the b4 top shaft was used through the b6 but I am still having a hard time knowing what will work I saw this part Part# CSW4465 https://www.amainhobbies.com/custom-works-direct-mount-spur-hub-csw4465/p-qtartauqbz2...

Re: Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build

I'm not 100% sure the 3563 adapter would have fitted the standard setup anyway, i think the backplate would foul on the motor plate before the recess would engage with the pin in the topshaft Maybe there was a modification, but looking at the parts and comparing it to the picture of the truck I thi...

Well that’s good to know. Is element the same?

do axial 10mm pistons fit assocaited 10mm shocks

Does anyone know if the axial(or element) 10mm pistons fit the bore and piston of vintage 10mm associated shocks?

Re: Reaming Gearbox for 10mm bearings

I just grabbed one and it's a perfect fit. there is no reason for a topshaft to go for more than $25 at this point

Re: Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build

CVD.jpg I am glad that this worked! The Custom works Short Bone CVD kit fits the rc10. As well when coupled with associated 7379 they look like they will work on the 10T. Progress one bit at a time. I went on a road trip today after work and hit up some hobby shops. The first shop had very little a...

Re: Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build

If you didn't want it to be an exact copy, you could have used a Dynotech gear adapter with the original V1 input shaft. Just something to keep in mind in the future. I think the truck as raced had an aluminum V1 top shaft. If you look at the slipper eliminator closely in my picture , which I shoul...

Re: Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build

So I have been abundantly lucky so far in sourcing parts for the transmission. Most of the non-standard parts were there. I was able to get most new for reasonable prices. 7D2B2690-7E71-40B3-AE6C-44C9186A7175.jpeg 9D9D3D5C-C700-4D1B-B5A4-B98A409CBF0E.jpeg Avid now makes and stock a lightened aluminu...

Re: Chris VanAir 2016 inspired build

Chris has been quite generous sharing what he could with me over the course of my build. It's a truck he ran once and put away, so I may have spent more time on this than he did. I think this is still the most modern major win with a vintage rc10t. Many of the parts that were not hard for him to get...

There are so many incredible builds on this site, I wouldn't know where to start.
Anything that is cool/different/ interesting to you? Even if you can't pick one what is a great build.
I'd imagine the original driver/AD builds would be high on the list.

Re: Hex axle option

That is the 20° block for an SC10 and RC10B4 and T4. They are harder to find than the 30° but are what you really want with an older car. The axles are retained by a short M3 screw. So I am following up on this for my truck build. I can’t find a solid source for this but it seems that the b/t 4 had...
