Why do they call it "denatured"?

I bought a T2 and the gears were "lubricated" with some black grease! How do I clean this up? Can I just use dish soap?

A while ago I was truying to make a rally car out of my DS. I ended up turning it into a stock car racer... Anyway I though that some people coul be interested in this... I have a whole box og Tamiya Qucik drive parts including a lot of wheels and tires... Well the buggy tires fit the DS wheels! See...

The packs have a hand written stiker... MRP 354021

These are strange... They have springs both inside and outside... Do you have an idea of what model they were for? I have a few packs of those... All brand new but for now I do not need them...

So all the shocks in one pict... Hopefully its better now. These shocks are all aluminum... The center pair is definitely different than the bottom one.

Have you ever seen those? Thanks for any help.
