No way possible it's ever over heated. Not a chance. The fan has never turned on because of temp. It's never been over 110 degrees F.
I'm about to call em.

Re: RC10GT2 + MAMBA MONSTER X + 2650Kv Castle 1512
Yup. I have a Mamba Max Pro esc and 2400kv 550 motor in my Traxxas Slash, and it is a BEAST. That's just on 2s too, since our track doesn't allow 3s. On 3s I'm sure it would be just stupid :-) This is the 2650 on 4s I'm contemplating 2000Kv reedy on 6s.... What I'm finding is the ESC is f...

71 mph. I am slightly disappointed in the calculator. But the temps are spot on at 107.3 MAX and average of 95. I am going to be gearing up big time.

Re: RC10GT2 + MAMBA MONSTER X + 2650Kv Castle 1512
Well, I coulda told you right with the 20c batteries :-) They just don't dump nearly as fast as a 50c, or even close to how a 100c battery will. I have shunned 1/8 for a long time calling them expensive 1/10 monster trucks  But times have changed. I have to date: Just about every 7-2 through 2...

Re: Need lipo battery setup suggestions
Yellowdatsun, I believe the name for the small packs I have are "saddle packs" What about square packs?? Approx the same footprint as 2 saddle packs sitting side by side.. Stack them one on top of the other, which is not ideal for weight distribution, but when you are short on space.... Th...

Re: Need lipo battery setup suggestions
I might need to approach this differently. Some how though I'm beginning to feel too "green" or "liberal" reminiscent of a Prius or Volt..."A battery with 4 tires and a nut job behind the wheel" Maybe I need to break out the nitro's :? I could buy 2-2s standard pa...

Need lipo battery setup suggestions
I am limited by space. I currently run 2 single cell saddle packs. I need to run 2-2s packs for a total of 4s. Minimum of 60c, ~5000 mAh. This is what I have to work with http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh59/edirtysicks_photos/F56AB902-D55E-463F-9455-BCCC3490EFC3_zpsjiapnabl.jpg http://i253.photo...

Re: RC10GT2 + MAMBA MONSTER X + 2650Kv Castle 1512
Had a long talk with a castle tech. I hooked up the castle link to my computer and reset everything. Went for a few runs and came back. He had a lot to say. I'll get back to that. Run specs: 24 tooth Robinson pinion 54 tooth spur 32 pitch gears 4.2 inch Pro Line Street fighter beadlock tires. Stock ...

Re: RC10GT2 + MAMBA MONSTER X + 2650Kv Castle 1512
Haha thanks. It is an experiment that's for sure. All I really wanted was the 6s ESC. This will allow me to run a high discharge 3s on a 1/10 can motor all day. I was tired of frying ESCs when running sand paddles. The 15 can motor just happen to fit. Almost all associated stealth type transmissions...

Re: Orion/Reedy deal mid 1990s
What was with the Reedy/Orion deal in the mid 1990s? Why did the AE team run Orion batteries for a bit with Reedy motors when Reedy had their own batteries prior? 1995 Worlds for example? I've always wondered this and hope someone has an answer! I remember Orion "matching" cells back in t...

Reedy/Velineon/Castle 3300-3500Kv on a 2s lipo 5000 mAh 50c will rock your socks and be reliable
I would pair it to a Vxl-3s or Sidewinder 3 ESC

Wish I read the thread before testing it, it's just that I was loosing light and wanted to run it one time.
Melted my first RC differential ever...on only 3s...running a straight line.
