It is would be very difficult to fit those mountaineer wheels to your TF2. You would be better off finding a 12mm hex mount wheel that looks like these. Here is a set on eBay

Re: Dhawk aluminum Short front arms
Looks like ones in the sale photo have been massaged a bit with some polish. You can see the metal is radiused rather than sharp like on the arms they sent. Nevervthe less I’m impressed with the quality for the price.

Dhawk aluminum Short front arms
Not sure how new these are but recently I noticed Dhawk had aluminum short arms produced. I put some on order and they finally came in. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg131/shodog1/RC10%20Ascot%20Sprint%20Car/377D2B4F-60A5-4C41-92A2-B906583688FF_zpsv3pgscv8.jpg They look really nice and just wha...

The Vaterra wheels are one piece. To paint the centers you have to carefully tape off the chrome rim. They do come in a couple of colors

Re: Just dug this out of a box...
I use wd-40 for removing sticky goop off of bodies. It’s safe for plastic and paint. For degreasing gears I use mineral spirits Those wheels look cool but they are really junk. The gold plastic is super brittle and eventually you will break them if you run them. Keep those wheels for the shelf and g...

Re: gold on black heavy metal rc10 worlds
Looks great so far. I like the contrast between the gold and black. I'd di8tch that gold nose plate in favor of a black one.

It’s a Tamiya 58028 Hilux. That would be the perfect chassis for a restomod runner

Re: Random motorized stuff you had before RC cars/trucks!
Absolutely love stompers. Was huge into them when I was in 5th grade. I had a few of them that I would race against my friends in tracks we dig into the sandbox’s at elementary school. When I visited Warwick England in 1980 I found some rebranded as Trekkers made by corgi in a toy store there. I sti...

Re: - YR-4 Special with Porsche 934 RSR Vaillant-Kremer body -
That looks great so far. It will be interesting to see how your chassis turns out. I too fell in love with the body and bought a 30th anniversary kit but it’s so beautifully packaged in the box I couldn’t motivate myself to build it. I bought a few spare bodies and planned to have Jeff cut me a Trf4...
