Yes, there are two versions (designs) of the W'93 shell. I had both at one stage. The scoop for the speedo is different. I think the later shell arrived with the New YZ10 or W'95 as we called it (shocks behind the front tower).
Guess you still can get a bargain out there BIN £25, £32 posted in the UK.

I thought sod it £33 is not going to break the bank, just went for late lunch at Burger King and that came up to £9 so I guess the moral of the story is stop take away food and then I can get back onto ebay again. I always wanted one of the YR4 cars...
BTW, the seller is Tak , of which Scott/Woobie and I have referred to a couple times in the past. Heck of a collection..... this is the first I have seen him sell something in a number of years of knowing him.

Is the YR4 a shorter wheelbase than the YZ870/10 etc. I was looking at getting a new chasis for my 870C from Fibrelyte but they only have the YR4 or the models from approx. 93 onwards. Does anyone know if the YR4 chassis is the exact same size...

No prob. They sell the updated front shock tower still too. You can get MX-4 rims, a-arms, bulkheads, hubs, and the hard to find body/under tray from them as well. Well, maybe not so htf anymore, since you know where to buy them now without paying...

There was 870C not long ago on this site which had front knuckles of a kyosho optima mid but original yok hubs.
So, if the yok axles fit Kyosho knunckles, than I suppose kyosho axles would fit Yok knuckles also...
So you could probably use Kyosho's...

I needed some buggy dampers and went to this very dusty old shop.
The owner digged out these from the back-room.
Yokomo YS-1L and YS-1LL (long and longer) The attached picture shows the L set, the LL set is in the same condition.
To so of you guys this might not be much, but this is an extremely rare chassis. This is an original DELTA chassis for the original Yokomo 834b...... I think you have to into the obscure stuff to really appreciate it, but I was totally BLOWN AWAY...
