Has been put togeather wrong. Chain is upside down. The steering links go over the chain not through it. Chain rubs on the steering links. Torsion bars aren't hooked up. Have got all the shocks and the Golds on...

Your right Bradon G.
I just measured them with my digital calipers .
Still very odd. The front will have good steering response with a lower profile tyres . From what i can tell no castor at all too.
Now what? I want him gone. Plain and simple. 3 different screen names and he's threatened physical violence. Then he comes back and tries to defend what he did, basically saying he did nothing wrong....
Just wondering if any body has access to the old marui video which has the Hunter and Big Bear in it.

I'd love to see that, too...I don't think I ever saw any Marui vids, not even BITD when I was working in a hobby store that seemed to endlessly loop Tamiya vids... :x
I have just finished striping and cleaning my latest addition to my vintage collection and now only realized what a good racing weapon it would have been. It,s so light with a very low parts count. Ultra light to really get the most out of any...

Mark I ran my Samurai in the Open class (fitted with a Tamiya Sports Tuned) as my Bosscat with 5.5 was just too much car for me then. To my suprise I found the Samurai to be a very balanced weapon which not only drove very predictablt but also had a...
Got this recently from my good friend Dean. Apart from the crack in the windscreen it's perfect.
First pic is what I started with.
Action pics to follow
Enjoy

Spent maybe a little too much, but this car looks mint, dont think i could ask for better unless its NIB and if i were to build it part by part of ebay i woulda spent $200 on 6 parts lol. Plan to clean it up and shelf it.. i dont want to get a...
These two are on a local auction site with a buy now of $180 I'm thinking about buying them just because they seem cheap..what do you guys think?

I have both sizes of Shogun, only a 1/10 Ninja , and much as I quite like QDs especially mint boxed ones, they aren't worth more than £30 posted tops I reckon.
I think this a Marui Samurai. Found at a swam meet in pouring rain. Got it cheap. It is missing one dogbone and has some interesting bondo work as well as a home made skid plate. Probably missing a bunch of other stuff. I know nothing...

Matt- It's a Marui. Some info on the company on wiki: R/C info is near the bottom of the page.
Darryn has a nice collection here:
Looks like HPI wheels with slick tires to me... :D
Long live the Samurai!!!
Just love it!
The action pics are wonderfully nice!
Do you have more pics?
oops sorry, I didn't see the 2nd page
Hi
Does anybody on here own a Marui Big Bear?...I've got a nice semi restored one that I need a few bits for. I saw on ebay once somebody was selling a CD with the decals for the Bear on it. I was bidding on some original decals so didn't bother...

Thanks for that...there is someone selling Marui Big Bear parts on ebay...just the bits I want but they won't ship out of the USA...
Besides the Gold Tub RC10, and the Jrx2, (and Tamiya Frog, but I can get as a re-issue anytime) this is the 1 other vehicle I used to have fun with as a kid.
Anyone have some good photos of a restore? I saw one a couple years back NIB, but I did...

They are a taper fit - I havent experimented much - however it should not be too hard to get something to adapt to the standard axles. I intend to go down the front universal drive shaft road when I get around to modifiying my runner (see ËX new...
Check this out I got it today in the mail...Some guy said he had some old RC he wanted to get rid of for $20 and I happily volunteered to give it a new home...I dont really know anything about these cars...Are the collectible? what are they...

LOL,
still it would be easier and cheaper to find someone to paint this for you than to get the decals.
It's pretty tough to make the decals on a flat sheet, shaped so they they will appear straight on the curved body.
bit of trial and error which...
