Shocks are finally built using 1.02 rear and .71 front hard chrome shafts with the recommended spacers. Time to finish up the small details such as a few missing e-clips and roll pins, then I can move on the wheels and electronics.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
A nice group of motors showed up. I'm most excited about the Race Prep. The can and endbell are both unique. I have no other motors like this. 1000011130.jpg I'm not a RP expert, but they typically have "Racing Motors" on the label instead of the "Performance" for their other of...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The Jim Halsey guide says the entire 6-gear assembly should spin freely for 15 seconds after doing the steps in the guide. First, I'd see if you can get a good 5+ second spin when you have the assembled drive gear & idler assembly in your hand. If not check the gear mesh. You can enlarge the ho...

Re: Rc10t black aluminum shock cap part number
Anyone know what the associated part number was for the black aluminum caps that originally came on the team version trucks? Might take a look at P/N 6439. Listed as gray though. Parts list linked below is a revised 1997 T2 parts list. AE's 10T parts list link takes you to a 1997 T2 parts list thou...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?
Is this why the Stealth holes are drilled in the 40th chassis? https://i.imgur.com/dJRwmx3.jpg No. The 2013 re-re gold chassis (p/n 6300) has Stealth holes as well. Of course both the vintage AB & B stamped chassis are the ones that came predrilled for Stealth bitd. By the time people were actu...

Actually it is recommended you boil the parts after they completed a peroxide bath.

Re: Vintage AE Team / Worlds build thread
I finally set some time aside to do some more work on this build. I passed on the B2 style turnbuckles and stuck with the same style used for the earlier Team/Worlds. AE Ball studs are all the later stainless variant. I wanted to keep my Worlds shock kit intact for another project, so I sourced colo...

Re: Who made the "off road stock" motor?
The first iteration was a Yokomo "dry mag", and in 1988 they switched to the Yokomo "wet mag" when it became available.

Re: (1986-2005) RC Car Action Archives
I've tried all the links in this thread...the issues on internet archive I have on PDF, I have a lot of paper issues, but I'm missing from 1989 to 1994. Has anyone got a working pdf link for these issues? Thanks! It appears the link I posted back in Sept. finally threw the ghost. A lot of us have t...
