Picked up this Schumacher Mission, was I a poor state, but after many hours it looks alot better. Just waiting for the postmail to bring me some new gears for my ko1001 servo and then I can test it out.
I forgot how much I hate rebuilding Schumacher diffs of this age. Didn't help that the previous owner and messed up the thrust bearings in the drive cups.

Been working on this B4 FT build here and there lately with a mix of used but mostly new parts. Used parts are the chassis, front carbon arms, both shock towers, rear blue aluminum hub carriers and blue titanium turnbuckles. Put on some 12mm B6 shocks, aluminum steering knuckles & wide front axles.

The currently install LRP SXX V2 Competition stock spec ESC I originally bought specifically for this build to match it up with the Novak SS 25.5 brushless motor. But I recently decided to switch it up to a brushed setup a couple days ago. Which will be a Yokomo SCR6712 ESC and a Reedy modified (options are a Kr, Ti, Pt or Tri-Sonic).

I'm currently waiting for a KO Propo RSx2 servo and XP 2.4ghz receiver to arrive in the mail.

Today I have been mostly CAD modelling the Mardave Meteor gearbox .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Put on 12mm spring conversion on 10mm Factory Team V2 shocks.

Bought some B6 parts to begin an experiment with the B4.

I've been wanting to do a 12mm spring conversion on my T4.3 runner. Think I have a set of 12mm truck springs to if I remember right.

I got lucky and found a kit on ebay with blue and white springs. Unfortunately, have no use for the blue front springs, so I'm running white springs front to back.

Just added 3/4 OZ to the front of the B4 for a total of 1.25 OZ to the front end. No weight besides the motor and esc in the back. Shorty pushed all the way forward.

Ordered some Yokomo YZ-2 front shocks for the B4. Trying to find ways to ballast the front end. Plus I wanted an excuse to run a Yokomo sticker on an RC10.

These little suckers are actually quite a hoot to toy with, not to mention tough as nails. I accidentally launched this baby down 8 feet of concrete basement stairway and didn't phase it one bit except for a broken rear wing. Therefore, it deservingly got a sweet carbon piece.
Someday it'll get a HW1060 and some frankenstein mod motor I whip up.

On another note. Have you added shock and diff fluid to yours? Mine had nearly no shock fluid at all when new. Don't remember if I added fluid to the diffs, but I think I did when the shocks were done.

I opened the box and ran the crap out of it. It runs and handles great. I'm too lazy to check it out.

No pictures unfortunately but I am almost ready with the 2 gold pans that I am restoring. Need to get screws for the nose tubes and paint/sticker some bodies and I will be done. Hope to post pictures tomorrow.

Put a chassis protector on:

and also ran a couple packs at the track. Stripped something in the transmission. Purchased a steel idler gear. Hoping that fixes it.

Replaced the plastic idler gear with steel one. Waiting for delivery of new shocks, shock pliers, and steering parts.
