T3 Build from a Stash of Old Parts and a Pile of New Parts

Post by erichevy »

I have a few T3 "runners" so I have collected quite a few parts of the years. My daughter is getting to the age where I thought I'd put a truck together for her too. After digging thru my stuff I discovered I have enough parts to build a truck with almost all new parts. I figured I might as well build a "shelfer" while I'm at it!

Yeah, nice stash of parts.

I'm about done putting a T3 together for outdoor season. Gotta make a battery strap, paint the body, wheels/tires, and gather some electrics yet. I have a few months to get that all done.

Started assembly today. Everything but the hinge pins, ball studs, and a few screws are all brand new.

I'll work on the trans next.

Added new rear hubs.... all the hinge pins, ball studs, and bearings were used, as well as the CVD's. I'm trying to recycle parts that are usable and look new :)

Cool build you've got. I've become a big fan of the T3/B2/3 series over the past year. I am nearly done with my T3, and currently working on my B3.

That's nice! I believe you picked up a B3 from me in 2021. My all new build I did similar to my T3 build here..... Kinda miss the B3 now, lol.

Yeah, that B3 is waiting for a few upgrades to bring it more in line with my T3. It's a great car, super clean.

Your T3 just keeps getting better. Keep it up. Thanks.
